Now I have C Diff, anyone else???
Ugh. That stinks. C Diff can be caught from any hospital stay. It is not unique to Gastric Bypass. Talk to your doctor if their is anything else you can eat under the cir****tances that is soft/full liquid. Greek Yogurt might help. Rest and take care of yourself.

Thanks I have to follow up with my gastro doc on Monday. I'm supposed to go back to work on Minday but I'm so tired. I will ask them if I might be able to progress a little bit ahead of their plan. I did have some yogurt, but it's hard to find one without fruit chunks in them.
thanks for the support.
Not with this surgery but I had it many moons ago. I was miserable. All I know is I was passing blood rectally a lot. They misdiagnosed it to begin with and then they finally realized I had c-diff from antibiotics I was taking for an ear infection. Hope you feel better soon.

This is just one of many articles on this topic.
Good luck.
Nope. But I had a colleague die from it. Take your meds and if you get worse, tell your spouse NOW (while you are cognisant) that he/she should take you to the hospital if you get worse..even if you dont want to.
My colleague was a scientist, her hubby was an accountant. She was getting worse and worse but she didnt want to go to the hospital. He figured "She's the scientist". She is dead, colleagues still mourn her (3 years later), and some even BLAME HIM.
Dont goof around with c.diff.
