Morning AV and the RNY Gang. Well my morning started out GREAT, and then got really ****ty, really fast. I am alone here in my department this week, since my boss and co-workers are on vacation. it's pretty mellow over all. Well, this morning I got here and the power to the building was completely out. The electric company didn't have an ETA, so I waited a bit and then left to go to the grocery store to pick up some things that I wanted to make for New Years Eve when our friends were coming to celebrate with us. I got a text while I was shopping that the power was back up (boo) so I had to rush home and put my groceries away. Then I had to rush into work. Once here I got an email from my friend, cancelling for tomorrow night. I just spent $85 on ingredients to make some awesome WLS friendly appetizers, as well as stuff for the kids to eat, and now we're not even getting together. Her husband drives Uber, and decided to work that night, so she decided to go to the bar with one of her girlfriends instead. I'm actually very hurt that she waited until the day before to decide. She doesn't want to be the "third wheel". Anyway, ignore my bitterness, I'll get over it. Thanks for letting me vent.
So, I decided I need some serious help. I am going to check out an Overeaters Anonymous meeting. I have been struggling since the holidays started and feel like I'm losing the battle with sneaking cookies and not staying on plan. I definitely need help, and while my therapist is awesome to be able to talk to, I think I'm in need of a more interactive, day to day kinda help. I know you guys are always here for me, but this is a more passive forum. I need to WORK at this, I need to do something, so I'm hoping that this local group can help me. Since I live in a large metro area, there are many different meetings at many different places, so I will make the rounds until I find the one that fits.
Here is my plan for the day:
Almost 5 months since Surgery
B: Light and Fit greek and coffee with cream and splenda
L: romain salad with feta and shrimp with skinny girl dressing
D: tuna salad with mary's gone crackers
S: 1 egg egg salad with mary's gone crackers
Calories 743 protein 78 Carbs 56 Fat 24
Have a great day everyone!
Damn, that sucks about your friend canceling on you. Can you bring any of the stuff you bought back to the store?

OA is a great support and probably exactly what you are looking for. Good luck!
