We only visited twice when I was young and then I spent a few weeks there before I moved to Connecticut. Wish I had spent more time there.

Little York Lake is nice and all, but the idea of retiring to Homer has me LOL'ing.

I know. I know. But they bought this place when their kids (my husband) were young and wanted to retire there.  They have the funds to go anywhere they want and that's where they want to be.  Me, I am heading to warmer climes as soon as my stepson is on his own.  Not waiting for retirement!

Today I am a good girl, got up early and got a mamogram. NSV Alert:  mamograms are a breeze now that I have a set of tube socks for tits.  .

5 months since surgery

B:  protein shake

L: 1/2 order PF Chang's lettuce wraps

D: chicken salad

Snacks:  Moon cheese (from Starbucks) and a protein shake in coffee throughout the day.  If I have trouble with night snacking, celery or pork rinds.

Totals: 828 cal, 104 protein, 42 carbs

Exercise:  Roller Skating

I had a great workout last night doing a spinning class.  My heart rate really goes up.  Usually I have trouble breathing after it reaches 155, but it rose to 162 a couple of times and I did not have an asthma attack.  But like usual, whenever I have a hard workout, I gain a pound or two.  I'm not going to get on the scale on days after a difficult workout.  It is always discouraging, even when I know it is water and muscle damage.

I had one last month and it was surprisingly painless!

Oh, and forgot to add that this post made me snort with laughter.  My coworkers think I'm strange, sitting here laughing in my cubicle.

I just busted out laughing. Had to pause the TV and read this to my daughter.  Tonight I had her give me opinions on a bunch of tops as to whether I should get rid of them or consider altering for the short term. She noticed how my 38DDD boobs just sort of "sit" in my bra now. When she commented on it, I reminded her that I have told her they are like empty tube socks now. She just replied, "Well, you will get surgery to fix that one day."  I better start saving my pennies.

Good morning all,

I am out of town, working with a client in Albany NY - similar weather to yours, AV.  1/4" of ice on top of 3" of snow and the roads were totally ridiculous.  Plus I'm in a rental car that I'm not used to.  Had to borrow someone's ice scraper (the rental didn't have one!).  I wasn't a happy camper this morning, but it's ridiculous that this is the first snow of the season.  We've  been lucky so far.

So I'm living in a hotel this work week and next, which will account for some interesting food choices! I do manage to get myself a room with a microwave and fridge, so I don't have to eat all meals from a restaurant.  It helps a lot.  Being onsite makes me much less prone to snacking too, and I was grazing like a free range buffalo over the holidays so being onsite with my client is helping me get back on track.

I was able to find pop-top cans of chicken last night at Price Chopper so I am psyched to have the famoous AV Buffalo Chicken Salad today for lunch.  I am hopelessly addicted to it!  I usually eat it with sliced green peppers but today it's celery.  YUM YUM YUM

Here's today's plan:

time since surgery - just a few days shy of 9 months

Breakfast
Muscle Milk - Knockout Chocolate Mega Protein Shake, 11 oz (forgot my powder this week, doh!)

Lunch
Buffalo Chicken Salad, celery sticks

Dinner
Atkins - Beef Merlot With Broccoli

Snacks
Decaf with half and half (AM); Dannon Light & Fit Yogurt - Caramel Apple Pie, 5.3 oz (PM)

Totals 846 cals, 33g carb, 35g fat, 96g protein

Exercise - 30 minute Leslie Sansone workout (I bring a DVD player on the road with me!)

W/V - started

Have a great day everyone,

Christine

Bought.  LOL  It's a Betty Crocker thing I usually put in my son's lunchbox because he likes them.  I was looking for something to supplement my yogurt, so I grabbed it on the way out the door.  It was pretty dry and tasteless, so I can't say it was worth the 150 calories.
