Update,,,the upper gi series showed my esophagus was not releasing food or water the way it is suppose it hung around in my esophagus..so today another surgery,,,they went down my esophagus and found a hernia and a blockage,, they inserted a balloon to open it up,,,so far so good,,at least I can drink with no pain or burping,,,keeping my fingers crossed it is fixed,,,and I get to go home tomorrow

Glad you have found the problem and hopefully now it is a thing of the past. Go home, relax and heal. Bet you are really happy to have stopped burping.

I'm doing a slow happy dance for you until I see the problem is completely, for sure resolved, then I will break out the big dance!

Ty,,,and it will not be resolved completely for a couple months,,but it is a lot better,,so far,,,i will have to have the same procedure done every 2-3 weeks for the next couple of months to make sure it stays open,,,at least the those will be outpatient....just waiting for Dr to sign me out,,i wanna go home...

OHH Teri I am so glad that you are getting relief finally! Hopefully you can rest peaceably now and be on the way to recovery. Please update us on how you are feeling.
