What's On Your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
Happy New Years Eve my friends! Listen, I'd be lying if I said I knew what my menu was going to be at this point. I'm leaving work early and driving downstate after a detour to the mall, so it's all up in the air after breakfast!
So instead of posting my non-menu, I want to wish all of you the happiest of new years! May you achieve all of your goals in 2016!

Same here--menu is going to be a surprise, even to me! I'm proud to say that I started the day with a protein shake and a 3 mile run at the gym, but it goes downhill from here...
I'm having lunch with a very old HS friend this afternoon, then have a fancy dinner planned out at an Asian-Fusion restaurant for dinner before heading out to a dance party! No alcohol tonight--I promised myself not a drop until at least my 1 year surgiversary, so I'm playing designated driver, tonight.
Wishing you all a very Happy New Year and the start to a great year of healthy choices and happiness!

Happy New Years Eve! I'm glad you posted, even if to say you have no menu. I hope you have a safe trip and a wonderful time tonight. I am at work for half a day, then I'll be running around picking up my oldest from his dads and trying to get my house together so I can relax tonight.
Tomorrow we're going to my cousins for a new years day party, we've never gone before, and honestly I just recently reconnected with this cousin so I'm looking forward to getting to know him and his family better. We grew up together, but grew apart in our late teens and early twenties as our lives evolved.
I have half a food plan today, a normal breakfast and lunch, but I'm planning on making homemade apps in my air fryer tonight and I will sample each one. I will also be having a few drinks. I found a 4 pack of Malibu and Pineapple in a 6.8oz can, and I will have a few of those tonight. I like the idea of premixed drinks in individual servings. I know exactly what I'm putting in my body, and I don't have to mix anything.
I promise to try to keep my calories under 1000 and my carbs under 100 for the day. If I can do this, I will feel like I've succeeded.
I was on a weight loss stall over the holidays, but this week I've dropped 3lbs. I also broke the cookie cycle last night, and I'm proud of myself for it.
Happy New Year everyone, be safe and have lots of fun.
I'm usually a vodka/diet soda girl but that Malibu thing looks good! What's the sugar content?
I feel like I've been having a hard time sticking to plan the last month'ish, and seem to have lost my motivation to exercise. So I have committed to being more active in both the virtual support groups, as well as in person groups. I'm also going to hang a visual exercise tracking log in the bathroom, no ignoring it if it's right in front of my face as I get ready every morning!

I'm worth it!
I don't know where you live in the Metro Detroit Area, but if you're anywhere on the west side of the city and find a good support group, please send me a PM with the info. I also have the contact info for one of the girls that had surgery on the same day as me, she lives in Canton, and we're supposed to try to get together for lunch after the holidays are over.
Everyone be safe tonight! We are going to a get together with friends from our church, so shouldn't be too wild. It does make planning difficult though...
