I Now Have A Surgery Date

Hi Everyone!I am sorta new to the forum. I have been lurking around for about two months. I just received my date for my RNY surgery on January 29th. It is starting to get real and the nerves and doubts are starting to set in. I keep asking myself if I am doing the right thing but then in the next voice I am telling myself that if I don't  do it where will I be in a year. Then having people keep questioning me am I sure and saying a lot of negatives things about surgery (which none of them have had) adds to my worry. I know I need to do this for myself and my health but it is still scary. Reading some of the posts here have helped to calm my nerves. Reading all the posts and the victories that you have had has made me want the same for myself.

Congradulations on getting a date! This is a huge step in the regaining your life back. What you are feeling is normal and we have all been there before. Hang in there and know that you are doing the right thing for YOU! You are one step closer to sitting on the losers bench with the rest of us. It is an exhilirating and amazing feeling! You got this!
