I didn't eat a cupcake today
Nope, I didn't eat one today. In fact, today makes one week since I made them. It's unheard of for something like that to last this long around me.
That's a minor accomplishment in comparison to the crap I did eat, or thought about eating. But I woke up with a goal to not eat a cupcake today, and stuck do it. I also made sure I got my protein in before consuming any crap. Kept up my exercise too. Silver linings, right?
Thank God I didn't take the week off. I need the routine of the work week. I drink more water when at work. And I don't have to sit around thinking about all the stuff I should eat before they spoil. I will let those cupcakes go stale. I am not a trashcan.
Thanks for 'listening'

Cupcakes speak so loudly to me that I have been known to throw them away and then smear nasty trash on top so I will not dig them out! Sweets were and prob ably always be my biggest struggle. The only thing that looked good to me at Christmas dinner was the pies (yes more than one) but I avoided their call!
Sweets were/are my nemesis too. I currently have an Apple pie in my fridge. It's what I had planned to indulge in but tastes like there was no salt in it at all... I've passed on it and will tra**** if my hubby doesn't want it. Then there is the sweet potato pie my mother in law sent. 'mother in law sent' should explain why I won't touch that with a 10' pole!

Be as creative as you like with the destruction. It's just important that they did not go in you. There are times when goodies will be bothersome and other times when it doesn't even seem like food - like you would sooner eat a bolt than a potato chip. But I find no reason to test your resolve unless you are conducting an experiment and are writing down your reactions, etc.

I did not eat any cupcakes either. But I ate enough cookies and fudge to anchor a good sized boat.

I was smart, and got rid of those a long time ago. In laws, I mean. I kept the brownies and cheesecake.

One of my 'specialties' is cheesecake. I thought I was going to make it for Christmas eve, but my sister-in-law said not to bring it. So I have the fixings in my fridge to make it and they are staring me down LOL....

Can you make WLS friendly cheesecake? The fat is good for us..the sugar is what is the problem. Or flour..
Sometimes I make that. I use smaller ramekins. Make a few at one time. Then freeze. And take them out as I take out some frozen desserts for my BF.. We don't eat much desserts so making smaller size and freezing is really good idea for us.
