What's on Your Wednesday Menu, RNYers?
Good Morning and Merry Christmas Eve Eve! Guess what? I'm going shopping tonight after work. That's right. I'm headed to the 6th largest shopping center in the US (I looked it up, lol) two days before Christmas. Kill me. I'm hoping to get what I need at Macy's so I don't have to traipse all over, but I'm pretty sure that's wishful thinking. And then I need to go to WalMart. shudder Maybe I'm punishing myself for all the cookies I've been eating. LMAO
Time since surgery: 17+ months
B: coffee, L&F Greek strawberry and 1 oz. of mixed nuts
S: turkey pepperoni with a LC wedge and some ricotta cheese
L: Buffalo chicken salad, pork rinds and a cheese stick
D: tuna melt on a slice of light multigrain toast
TOTALS: Cals: 922 Protein: 94 Carbs: 41 Fat: 47
Have a great day everyone! And stay the hell away from the cookies!
Morning AV. I am so sorry that you have to deal with the mall tonight. I went on Sunday to pick up the last I needed for the holiday and I had a hard time finding a parking spot. I also learned that I shouldn't go shopping by myself, because I bought more for myself than I bought for other people!
My cookie eating days are over. At least today will be good. Everyone took the treats home, so no cookies sitting here staring me in the face. Tomorrow my in laws have a huge celebration and there will be so many presents. I'm excited for Christmas since my little one is 2 and I can't wait to see his reaction on Christmas morning when he sees all of the presents under the tree. I host Christmas day. My family comes over at around noon and we exchange gifts, then at about 3 my husbands family joins and I have a big dinner. This year I am making a ham, a turkey, stuffing, baked sweet potatoes, corn, roasted cauliflower, crescent rolls, and pies. My mother is making homemade scalloped potatoes and some sort of asparagus dish. My house is still in a state of chaos, and for some reason my family room smells like something died in it. I looked around and can't find the source of the smell. I'm assuming my kid shoved something under the couch, so I'll have to tear the room apart and find the stink tonight. Oh, did I mention that my husband had to drive to Indianapolis today? It's a 4 hour drive each way, so I'm hoping he's not too late tonight. He left at 6am in the hopes that he will be home in time to help me get some of this stuff done.
Here's my plan for the day:
B: Light and Fit pineapple and a coffee with cream and splenda
L: Hormel Compleats Chicken breast and dressing (I'll eat all the chicken and a little of the dressing)
D: I'm copying off of AV since it sounded delicious, so I'm having a tuna melt on half a low carb tortilla.
S: Boiled egg, jack links sweet & hot beef jerky, and a Mocha made with Unjury Chocolate Supreme (tonight while finishing the wrapping and prepping for Christmas day).
Totals:
Cal 763 Protein 90 Carbs 51 Fat 22
Maybe I should take a few less bites of that dressing so I can stay under 50 carbs? Hmmm....
We never do a traditional dinner for Christmas. This year we are doing 'surf and turf'. Hubby will do ribs on the grill (taking advantage of the unseasonable temps!) and a steak for me since ribs don't agree with me. I'll do mashed potatoes for them as a side and we'll also do shrimp skewers. I'll but an apple pie for desert.
Hope your hubby gets home in time to help! We'll get off tomorrow at 2pm-- good thing cause I need to clean my house so badly!

Just wanted to announce I am still around. Crazy busy and not generally getting on.until midnight so no point in posting my menu. Hoping to get back in the swing of things in the new year.
Still working my plan and losing.
That is all.
Eeek! The mall and Walmart, AngryViking? I'm going to pray for you.
Im typing this while sitting in the parking lot of Costco, so I may need prayers as well.
I'm off from work today, so I'm going to finish up wrapping gifts, buy the desserts I was asked to bring for Christmas dinner at Costco (if I made them, I'd be more tempted to eat them), and clean my house. I'm really not looking forward to that last one. I hate cleaning!

AV, may the force be with you! I would not want to be anywhere near a mall or Walmart today.
I am done! I do not need to go to any more stores, presents are wrapped, just waiting for their ribbons and bows which I will do Christmas Eve, otherwise the cats will be at them, even though all presents are in the spare room with the door closed, I do not trust those sneaky cats. They will open the door, eat the ribbons and puke them up! UGH!
Now, if my customers and vendors would stop sending goodies in I would be grateful, just opened a package of Peppermint Bark from a customer (thankfully, this is not one of my faves) and another vendor just came in with a huge tin of cookies and chocolate covered pretzels. When will this madness end?

Make good choices everyone, and in case I don't have a chance tomorrow, everyone have a very Merry Christmas, Happy Kwanza, Happy DeNali, Happy Festivus, or anything else you may celebrate.
