Holiday Break: Day 2 is underway!
Day 1 was a hot mess when it came to my eating and I can't even begin to say anything about it...it wasn't holiday food, it was just food, specifically snacks. I have gotta be tougher on myself here and do something else, occupy my mind, color, crochet, work on my lists, etc.
Day 2:
I woke up this morning with much better determination. Yesterday, I made a sticky note for each room in the house and wrote bulleted lists of everything I needed to clean/fix/arrange in each room. I told myself to try and accomplish at least one thing off the lists per day while on break and see what I can get done. Today, I completely did my son's room list, whi*****luded going through his mountain of toys and separating garbage from donations, and deciding what he should keep. He has way too many toys and never plays with half of them. I cleaned out 3 1/2 garbage bags of toys. I dusted his furniture and re-arranged stuff in his room. I also took down his wall stickers because they were baby-ish and he's 7 now. He has some soccer team flags hanging on his walls, so I felt the Dollar Tree jungle stickers needed to go. I also did the regular house cleaning this morning. I gave my 12-year old daughter the choice: you do what I did in your brother's room or I am coming in...she chose to do it herself and needless to say, she's not done yet. She has a lot to organize and I am going to let her 'finish' before I go in there and finish for her. We don't celebrate Christmas, so we aren't doing like a clean-out for that. It just needs to be done. So far today, my eating has been good and I've held myself accountable. Tonight, I should have cycling class unless it's cancelled for the holiday. If it's cancelled, I'll just workout (though I will be sad) but I hope I will push myself the way that I get pushed in that class!!! It's the best torture EVER!
Karaoke: I've sang some Martina McBride in my day...some David Allen Coe...Bon Jovi...my two friends sang Thriller and that was a hot mess but the funniest thing I've ever seen.
B: egg whites with 1/2 slice lowfat provolone, 3 all natural turkey sausage links, coffee/sf creamer
I am proud of myself for not eating a snack because normally I do but I kept myself busy with cleaning.
L: Homemade chili beans (some say chili but I say chili beans, live with it) that were spicier than I anticipated but so good, lowfat cheese stick, salad (spinach and arugula) with cherry tomatoes and lowfat olive garden dressing
S: Pure Protein bar
S: Coffee hot protein drink (homemade)
S: 1/2 gala apple and pb2 (cause I'm behind on calories for the day)
D: shakshouka and green beans
I am going to try to get in those snacks before working out; we will see because I feel full. If not, I'll maybe have the coffee part after dinner tonight. I need to stop by the store. Life without Light N Fit Greek Yogurt is unlivable. So far as what's on my list I have:
Cals: 863
Proteins: 79g (too low!)
Carbs: 69g (don't wanna add another gram to that today)
Fat: 28g (could add a couple there)
I haven't been tempted by Christmas Cookies.. yet... but there will be a full barrage once I head to see relatives on Thursday. At least all the temptation will be squished into 3-4 days.
Today has not gone according to plan. I had to take my husband back to the urgent care center. In addition to his sprained ankle from the fall down the stairs last week, his leg is now infected.. probably also from the fall. I'm trying to not flip out about it, but a leg infection sounds really scary. They put him on antibiotics.
I've only done Karaoke twice, and both times sang Who Will Save Your Soul by Jewel.
Time Since Surgery: almost 13 years; 5 months since revision
B: Protein Coffee
L: Starbucks Spinach and Egg White wrap
S: Chai Tea Latte from Starbucks
D: Cheesesteak on a salad
S: Fiber One Brownie, Tea
Totals: 1099 Cals, 73g Protein, 96g Carbs, 49g Fat
