Jingle Ball Concert
I took my 14-y-o daughter to the Jingle Ball in ATL last Thursday night. I'm not sure who was more excited (I love pop music). We danced for hours. No worries about fitting in the seat - when we needed a water break - or spilling over in to the next seat. We saw Fifth Harmony, Sean Mendes, Charlie Puth, Nick Jonas, but the headliner was Justin Bieber (swoon). haha. He dances so well. My daughter and I are going to look up some of his dances on youtube and teach ourselves one of them. How embarrassing. Can't wait.
It's so nice to be out in the world again.
Happy Holidays, y'all.

How awesome! I'm glad you had a good time.
I have boys, so there will be none of this for me (I'm not complaining, lol) but I did take my oldest to see Weird Al Yankovic before, and would do so again if he wanted to go. Weird Al gave me a lap dance in front of my kid and husband. My husband was so thrilled about it, lol.
My son also a huge 80's metal fan, so maybe I will take him to see a hair band the next time they is one coming through. That's harder, since he's 16 and those shows don't tend to be all ages shows.
You should take him! Keep in mind, the band members are all MUCH older now and the shows aren't anything like they were back in the day; especially if it's an indoor arena. Security is tighter these days. I was at a Kid Rock ( I know, not a hair band, but he has a rep for being wild ) concert this past summer, and even he wasn't quite as rowdy as he used to be, but he did drop a lot of F bombs...haha.
Probably one of the best concerts I've seen was Kiss...they did full costumes and make-up, sans blood...haha.
I woke up in between a memory and a dream...

That's such a great NSV! Good on ya

What was the deal with Bieber, and the microphone stand? He was trying to adjust it or something and it spun around and almost cracked him in his temple. And who was the dancer in the plaid pants trying to be? And who was the young girl playing the guitar, when he sat down for the lovely ballad?
I actually almost fainted when he did "Where are U now"? You know, with the two dots above the U? The screen behind him was going so crazy..
Actually, I'll be honest because you're my friend. I'm actually standing on line to see STAR WARS, and I youtubed the "Jingle Ball 2015" to freak you out.
It was really good though. All the gyrating and such, it was very aerobic looking. He was screaming alot about various girls and whatnot. I found him refreshing, totally deserving his rightful place amongst the very titans of music itself.
Seriously though, I LOVE the second to last line where you said "it's nice to be out in the world again". That hit home for me, it really IS nice to be out in the world again isn't it. Thanks for the great post. The line is moving...FINALLY!!!!!
I totally thought you were there. OMG. Yes the dance part of "Where are you now?" is what my daughter and I are learning. We have the first part down but it goes soooo fast, it's a lot to remember. My 17-y-o son and 3 friends are going to Star Wars tomorrow evening. I've heard it was awesome.
