What's On Your Monday Menu, RNYers?

Ack, I totally relate to that kind of day... Take care of yourself!
Good morning everyone! AV, your son sounds like an awesome young man and what a great way to spend the holidays! I'm sure the residents had a great time! You should be proud. Well, I can't call our Christmas party an eating success. For the most part I stayed on track. They had a seafood tower for an appetizer, so I was able to eat all protein (shrimp, lobster claws and crab legs . . . I had a bite of each). I ordered salad and had a bite. Feeling pretty good. Then lunch I went with the reasonable petite filet and the sides were served family style so I stuck to the veggies (asparagus, snap peas and spinach) Sounds all good, right? Then disaster hit . . . can you say warm butter cake with vanilla ice cream, and strawberries?? Oh, yes. I made the choice to order it . . . I could have gone with the healthier mixed berries, but I made the choice to indulge. I was only able to get a few bites of the cake in, but let me tell you . . . It was worth every glorious calorie! The rest of the weekend I paid for it though, I felt sick both saturday and sunday and yesterday I actually ate very little food. My stomach just couldn't handle it. Back on track today with a protein forward meal plan (except for breakfast . . . I saw Star Wars last night at an 8:30 showing and didn't have time to make my ground turkey and spinach concoction.) Other than that, I hope to be bak on track. I cannot WAIT until the holiday season is over and temptation is not around every corner. Here's to a good day.
