O darling.. Balancing your hormones, adding if you need some WOULD increase you well being, it can make you feel better about yourself and the whole world. And makes you back to a happy person.. HRT works if the person is depleted... Or their body does not make enough what it needs.. You don't question the need of insulin when a person does not make enough, or thyroid hormons... it is the same thing. Supplementing hormnes is adding just enough (typically a very small amonts) in daily dosages to help the body when it does not make enough of what our organs need.
We need the hormones balanced to feel our best...
I am 55 .. And going on hormons (HRT) saved my life. Literally.. After RNY, rapid weight loss, plus a couple other surgeries my body just start shuting down... Replacing the hormons my body does not make at the time brought back my life. I am more active... And I am alive.. And I am happy.. And goofy... And crazy... Even with all of those ****ty things that goes around me. I can handle that now. And have a great sex...
Misconception about hormons is so well spread. IF, as a man, your body does not make enough testesteron - you would be more tired, depresed. And your ability to heal would be compromised. And your sex drive would be non existent. But the last one is really only icing on a cake..
I am on testesteron beside other "female" hormones. Woman need that also, not as much as men do, but a need that to function.
As I said - my body shut down on me. I am on daily steroids... Yeap. Misconception is that if someone takes steroids they gain weight... I lost some reagain because I supplement what my body stopped making.
We need cortisol, insulin, thyroid, estrogen, testesteron, progesteron, vitamin D (it is really a hormone) yes... To live and function. Disruption or disregulation in any one of them decreases our ability to have a good life...
Taking too much of hormons - I.e. body builders takes testesteron to build muscles - this is what you are sorry about...
Like people who take a lot of steroids - they typically take 10 to 20x what they body can make...that can have significant side effects...

DH and I are both on bio identical hormones. I am 61 next week,he is 62. We have found it a very gentle way to get some of our zing back.
for me,especially,getting a little more wood in the woody was a blessing. He couldn't tell a difference and could always get an erection,but the quality of said erection was lacking,if you know what I mean....
Hala, just an aside ... I'm not on HRT or testosterone and all engines are revving .
Gary, as I'm sure you know, there are many ways to keep a woman satisfied other than intercourse ... if your engine's not revving, you can still keep her purring

I know... I was a last person who would suggest anyone to gets hormones... HRT.. I was like that In the past... And my body just shut down Production on that... And I changed my mind... I think if a person has serious deficiencies... Supplementing may restore semi normal life... .
I so wish I did not have to use HRT or steroids... But for now - it is what it is...
And you are right... 4 months not making a woman happy is a major issue... Gary needs to figure out what is going on...this is not right...

I would think if it was a problem, doctors would include a note in their paperwork stating men should refrain from "smashing" for "x" number of weeks....or in the alternative, direct you to up your protein on smash days. And ladies, if you're the smashed, you can reduce your protein intake on those days.
