I love to laugh. This cracked me up when it happened. She's great at hearing some new stupid phrase, and working it into our conversations. I think what you said was hilarious. I will use the term "The Temple of Syrinx" to refer to "it" in the future.

I shared this phrase with DD and now we have a new euphemism for said deed, lol.

You are taking a big risk. You should definitely wait a while longer. I know that I was on a lifting restriction, nothing greater than 8 pounds for 8 weeks, so I had a friend mow my lawn a couple of times. Maybe you could have a friend or neighbor "mow your lawn" so to spea****il you get back into action. And frankly, at 37 seconds, your wife would probably think it's a good deal as well.

Also, depending on what you were doing for those 37 seconds, your wife might make good use of the extra protein of you're just going to get rid of it.

If you insist on risking protein deficiency through this senseless and lackluster act, try to make up for it. Eating a porkchop or turkey leg during sex should work, since you can eat without needing a knife and fork. Be careful of the foamies though. Eating a porkchop in 37 seconds, you're certain to get something stuck.

God willing, we will prevail in peace and freedom from fear and in true health through the purity and essence of our natural fluids.

I can't tell if this post is serious or not.

I say worry less about protein and "exertion" and let's tackle the most pressing issue. 37 seconds? I've burped longer than that.

Go get 'em, Tiger. Grrrrrr!!!

I missed the zero, it should have read 370 seconds. And it's totally serious....kinda. I'm 49 now, you shouldn't pick on old people. People this old I mean. Now I want some frosted flakes.

Did you time your exercise so you could accurately log it into MFP?  Or, were you trying to break a previous record?

I missed a memo that 49 is old for action.  You need Viagra. Or testosterone.  But seriously.  Ask the doc to test hormone balance for you.  I am on HRT...(hormone replacement therapy) . why ? Becuse I like myself better on that.  Low hormons may mess up not only sex and desire to have it - but also your thinking and other areas of your life...

We women, we discovered HRT and most have no problem talking about that... Or taking them... Men need to catch up to us..

Unless you want  or don't mind your wife uses someone younger ... Or who has more hormones.. Just saying...

I worry that they (hormones)may take away my ability to laugh at things, or take things so serious that all the joy in life will fade.

I hurt myself by lifting weights too soon after my surgery. My groin was hurt, it was nothing about getting hard enough to perform, so viagra is redundant. And the main reason I asked this particular forum was to get a woman's point of view, because having 5 sisters and a daughter has been a great source of wisdom and humor.

But, are you suggesting my wife would be unfaithful to me? Because that would hurt me to think that this thread, would inspire someone questioning my wife's loyalty to me....just saying.

And the memo is officially out....I FEEL OLD SOMETIMES. NOT EVERYONE.....ME....... And that's okay, I've lived a lot of life.

Women need sex. Lots of it. Especially in our 40's. Honestly, if my SO was having a sexual issue and not dealing with it, that would frustrate the hell out of me. It would definitely cause a rift in our relationship. Sex and intimacy are important to a healthy relationship. When one partner thinks there is a problem and the other just ignores it, that is where problems start. If your groin is still hurt, talk to your doctor. You need to take care of business.

I am also 49 and honestly, feel younger than I ever have. I have started exercising again which helps. You are still early out. Keep making good food choices and exercise and you will get your energy back up. I was an exhausted mess until the 6 month mark.
