What's On Your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
She is a "shodan" black belt in karate, and a 3rd level purple sash in Kung Fu. The next level for Kung Fu is brown sash, then black.
She had to take the SAME test with the adults to get her black belt, they did not make it easy on her. But because she is under 16 years old she technically has a "junior" black belt.

My favorite Christmas special will have to be the classic 'How the Grinch Stole Christmas.' I love seeing that little doggie being a reindeer. My students have been so good to me. Yesterday, one of my students brought me an 'ugly sweater,' and a bracelet. She also wrote me a letter. Another student gave me a big container of sugar free candy and chocolate which I found extremely thoughtful. Today, I've gotten some regular chocolates, cookies...oh Lord here we go. I will do what Nik said and share with people here; that's always been my strategy, though I usually end up eating a few pieces myself and that then leads to my at home downfalls. God. Anyways.
Yesterday's workout consisted of 25 minutes on the stairs, which I hate to love. It's challenging and I sweat like a dog. I jogged on the treadmill for 10 minutes and did upper body stuff focusing on back and chest for an hour. Today I have cycling class again and I can't wait. The lady that my daughter really liked is teaching tonight so I am excited to go.
Here is my eating plan today:
B: hot coffee protein
S: egg whites, salad mixed in, 1/2 slice lowfat provolone cheese, 6 slices of all natural turkey
L: shakshouka and asparagus, 6 turkey slices, cheese stick
S: salad mix, cherry tomatoes, olive garden lowfat dressing (2tbsp.), 1/2 scoop protein powder in a container of light n fit greek yogurt, protein bar
D: shakshouka and asparagus and probably the yogurt/protein thing
totals:
Cals: 1,195
Protein: 146g
Carbs: 91g
Fat: 27g
I wanna cut out some carbs and increase the fat a bit. How Lord do I do that...more tweaking to come!
If I had to pick a favorite christmas special it would probably be Peanuts, but my dog really likes the cartoon version of "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas." He will literally sit there and watch it for 20 minutes. I'm not sure what it is about it that makes it so mesmerizing for him.
I'm having a rough day. Giant work project was postponed, again. I took the wrong train on my way to work this morning, leading to a 20 minute longer commute, I was selected for "enhanced screening" when I tried to enter my building at work, it's raining and gross outside, my office smells like burnt toast thanks to someone in the building (I don't think toasters are even allowed!), and most of all I was not able to get Adele tickets. Seriously, seriously bumbed.
