What's on Your Wednesday Menu, RNYers?
Hi OH Friends! Today is my official two year surgiversary, which is exciting and scary - the dreaded year 3 is upon me! LOL. I posted yesterday and thanks to you all for your sweet notes of encouragement.
I buy myself everything I want throughout the year LOL. For better or worse.
My Christmas present from my parents arrived in the mail - I got an Amazon Echo! It's super cool. I can ask "Alexa" questions and stream music. I love it.
If you have to buy random gifts for less than $25 for anyone this year, I had some great ideas from a White Elephant party - they are:
A bottle of wine, a nice kitchen knife from Bed Bath & Beyond, Connect 4, a waterproof bluetooth speaker, kitchen mitts, a grilling tong with a flashlight on it.
So in exciting news, I started dating someone I met online who had VSG a year ago! Just randomly! It's so awesome - we laugh at ourselves when we eat out and finish 1/3 of a meal. It's actually awesome to date someone who GETS it. He eats small, protein-forward meals, he is not freaked out if I get the foamies, and he works out pretty hard. Also, his body ain't perfect, which makes me feel better about mine.
B: Coffee with half and half, leftover Chipotle bowl of tofu, chicken, cheese, guacamole (weird, but I was too lazy to make eggs and it was in the fridge)
L: Mediterranean tuna salad, pickle, cucumber salad
D: I am cooking for the man! Turkey meatloaf, asparagus, red potatoes. I have no doubt this will be four meals each for the two of us LOL
E: I did 70 minutes on the elliptical this morning. Feeling strong.
Have a great day, everyone. Good luck avoiding those sweets in the office - those temptations make me glad I work from home! Em
so much wonderfulness in this post - I don't know where to start! So I will just say WAY To GO and HUBBA HUBBA!

137 pounds lost - from a 24/26W to a size 8/10!
I feel lucky to be working from home this week and next week - doesn't mean I don't have temptations, but at least it's not forced eating frenzy time!
there is a great deal of pressure to celebrate and act joyful when so many people just aren't feeling it for whatever reason. I have always loved everything about Christmas - the songs, the decorations, etc. - but as I've gotten older I'm losing my patience with some of it. I tossed out so many old holiday decorations - streamlining and simplifying.
Anyway, hang in there AV and anyone else who is not "feeling it".
