My two year surgiversary, with a before and after picture!
I am actually afraid to have three more surgeries. I had to have an emergency abdominal surgery this summer and then rotator cuff surgery a few weeks ago (the recovery is not easy for those who cannot take NSAIDs). It has made me a little surgery shy and I am trying to figure out if I can handle another surgery and recovery (or two or three). Thank you so much for your honesty and all of the sharing!
Well I had mine in two surgeries...LBL and breasts were one long one (8 or 9 hours, one night in the hospital) and then arms was in and out same day (3 or 4 hours under anesthesia). A friend of mine is having all 3 things done in one day since she doesn't need such a technical breast lift, like the one I had. With the muscle tightening from my tummy tuck, I can't imagine if I hadn't had use of my arms to hoist myself up, but I know quite a few people do all 3 at once. Don't rule it out, is all I am saying. I really wanted my body to reflect my commitment to eating well and working out, and I am super freaking happy with my body!!! I mean, we are all our own worst critics and sometimes I get down about my scars or my saggy legs, but overall, I am thrilled!
Congratulations on 2 years!! You look great

Emily, congrats on your 2 years! So thrilled for you and all your successes! You are such an inspiration for so many on this site. I love that early on in my journey I was able to learn from you, be inspired by you & your menu and cheer for you on all those early day's NSVs. I believe you are doing so well because you "keep it real", you accept and openly share where you came from and where you are today, that takes guts, courage and determination. I know you are not as active on the boards any more (like me) but I am sure its because you are loving your new lease on life, the freedom to do all the things we always wanted to do pre surgery, and that just makes my heart smile.
Thanks for the great post, its great to read how good you are doing! The before & after pics are just so amazing, your bikini body is wicked girl!!!
Keep up the great work Em

Daisy - YOU are doing fantastic! 120 lbs, running kilometers with your dogs every day, and living your new life...it's awesome! I love when you pop back here onto the boards - it puts a giant smile on my face! Thanks for the compliments - it helps keep me on the right path, I will tell you! I want so badly to be a success story. And I know it's in my hands to either succeed or regain. I work on it every day :)
And YES I love love love my plastic surgeon! Whenever I see my naked body I just can't believe how good he made it look! So thank you :) And Merry Christmas!
Fantastic post Em! Wtg, you have done so great. Love your posts, always honest and I totally relate.
Congrats pal!
Annette
Hi Annette! I love seeing you on here every now and again - and it's always kind of nice to know that people relate! I get so envious when people say they never think about food and lost all of their hunger. I wish that were the case for me! You have done so great too, and a year from now, I plan to be doing well and see you here doing well too!!!
Thanks again Em. We take this day by day right? For me lately, it's meal by meal....ugh. Always will be, but that's what we signed up for right?
WE got this.
You are so awesome. Thank you for being so generous with your time, and for sharing your experiences. It makes the hugest difference to newbies (like me) - I read and heed your words quite carefully.
CONGRATULATIONS on your success so far and keep up all the great work!
xo
