Finally Gone!! TMI...

(Crosspost) Since the day after surgery I have suffered with horrible diarrhea.  At my 4 day post-op appointment my doc suggested a remedy.  It slowed things down but didn't stop it.  Finally today, 8 days post-op, no more diarrhea!  

Now that this problem is resolved I know I have a new problem of the opposite kind on the horizon.  Before surgery the nurse at my center told me that after surgery I should start taking a daily dose of Miralax.

My doc said as long as I had diarrhea I should not begin the Miralax.  Now that its resolved do I start the Miralax today or tomorrow?  I know this is one of those smh questions, I apologize for asking.  I just don't want to screw up anything and value the opinion of the members of OH.

I think I would wait a day or two as you are probably pretty cleared out. If you haven't gone by beginning of the week call and ask. 

I would probably wait a couple days.  Good luck and it's great to not have to literally run for the bathroom!!!

I find that if I do a half mile or mile on the treadmill, it works as well as a laxative for me.  I am 12 days post op and haven't felt constipated. But must have been.  Maybe try that :)
