thank you,
you are also been an inspiration to me. i read your post where you have had no regain. that is also my goal. once the losing train is over that will be my goal in maintenance also. the thought of maintenance scares me but i know with the helps of the vets on this site i will make it thru.
how is the training going.
i am training for a half in Feb. does not have the hills that your next race has.

Wow! I have so much more to tell you that fitbit wont let me due to the limited number of characters.
My gym has a planking challenge. I am currently first place with a 4 minute 59 second 90 millisecond I.e. 4:59:50 plank. Yes, I fell short of my goal but it was freaking 10 milliseconds. Currently in first place but all I need is for one guy to show up to blow me out of the water (i.e. I beat all the girls..men might be more difficult).
-Yep no regain. I weigh every day and adjust every day. I am just happy that "regain" DOESNT have to happen. So I keep to the basics (protein + non starchy veg). It IS an attainable gogal
-regarding my next BIG run. I begged my husband for a 50 buck training program for this mountain race. Now Rock-n-Roll DC half appears ONE MONTH before the Blue Ridge (i.e. Mountainous)half. I think ROCK-n-Roll should be a pretty fast, easy/flat course to work into the program just to "reassure" myself that the virtual training is "really" working. I dont know for sure. I keep going back and forth on it. The sad fact is: the medals for rock-n-roll dc have cherry trees on them and are pretty, I collect cherry tree motifs...so I kinda GOTTA do it, right? It is what my SOUL wants (aka freaking cherry tree medals).
-maintainence scares me too. That is why I run, lift, and have a personal trainer and weigh every day. Basically, EVERY day, I assure myself that I am still "ok". When labs dont look right, I get worried that things arent "ok". Not sure how to take stock of weight and clothing fit to determine things are still ok.
I think of you often and are envious of your steps
Keep going BonRoxie! Keep going !
