What's On Your Monday Menu, RNYers?
Happy Monday, all! Imma make this quick, because I have a meeting in a few and my bosses frown upon lateness due to interwebs. LOL
We had a good weekend; my husband got a deer, my son's team won their basketball game and we managed to get a tree and even put it up. It's not decorated or anything...baby steps. LOL
How was YOUR weekend? Melissa, how you doin' out there in packing and moving land? I've been thinking about you because, well, moving sucks. At least there's mild weather, right?
Time since surgery: just under 17 months
B: coffee, banana baked oatmeal and an Activia Light Greek strawberry yogurt. Seriously, the best.
S: Click Mocha
L: Buffalo chicken salad, pork rinds and a cheese stick
D: Venison backstrap, baby! LOL The rest of the deer is being processed (We're getting ground, tenderloins, stew meat, sausage, jerky, summer sausage and a roast. This was a big doe. LOL) but we always have the backstrap right away. They're marinating right now!! Oh, and a salad. HA!

Have a great day, you guys!
Good Monday morning. I had a good weekend. Foodwise I was decent, I did have 1/2 a piece of thin crust pizza, but my pouch has been moody lately so I definitely made up for that small indescretion with low carb intake this weekend. I mostly had liquids just because I wasn't feeling up to much.
Saturday night I stayed at my sister in laws house. She is the one who had the baby last month. She is a single mom and has been alone with him pretty much since she came home from the hospital, so I offered to stay over and let her get a full night sleep. She slept for a full 8 hours, and I was up with baby at 2, 3:30 and 7. I felt pretty good yesterday morning but as the day wore on I started fading fast. I passed out on the couch not long after dinner and my husband tried to wake me when he went to bed, but i don't remember that at all. I woke up at 1am, sore and stiff. I crawled into my bed and slept until the alarm woke me at 6 this morning. The only thing bad about this scenario, is that since I fell alseep so early, I didn't get to put the left over dinner away, and my husband doesn't think of that stuff, so I wasted half a pot of delicious beef stew. I was so disappointed this morning when I came down and the pot was still on the stove.
So, plan for this week is trying to stay low carb in prep for Christmas in a little over a week. I know I'll likely have some treats, so I want to be as good as possible until then. Kinda offset the bad stuff.
B: Light and Fit and coffee with SF peppermint mocha coffeemate
L: 3 oz shrimp on a romaine salad with Skinny Girl salad dressing
D: taco salad with TJ's grassfed beef and 1oz cheese. 1/2 oz of tortilla chips and salsa
S: light babybel, 1 thin addictives (1/3 of serving), chicken jerky, sipping on Syntrax strawberry kiwi all day

Also, I have to tell you guys that I've been anticipating ONEderland for a few weeks now. My scale this morning said 201, which means as of today I've lost a total of 90lbs since starting this crazy journey back in January 2015. I will be in Onederland before Christmas! My goal is to hit 100lbs lost before January 15th. It's exciting and scary at the same time. Thanks for being here to share it with me.
I would have put the beef stew away just the same. Sure they say that bacteria can grow, blah blah, but so far I'm still alive and kickin'! Only time I wouldn't mess with food left out for a night is if it were in the high heat of the summer. But even then we have central air--- so chances are slim my house would ever get that hot. Food is never put away within the recommended time frame in my house.
You're just a stones throw away from Onederland!

Well we got EVERYTHING moved and the house all cleaned up. We had a few moments of OH MY LORD....WHYYYYYYYYY, when things that should have been put into my parent's house were put into the storage container instead. Like ALL of my step daughter's clothes...and all of our cell phone/electronics chargers. The clothes were all the way in the BACK of the 40' container, but we found them. The chargers were up in the front thankfully!
So now we just need to get adjusted to being at my parent's. The girls have their bedroom, and the boys and my husband and I are in the basement, in one room. So strange. We don't want to be in the basement and keep the boys up after they go to bed, but we also dont want to be upstairs keeping my parents awake.
We bought SO MUCH PIZZA for the people helping us move, then there were a TON of leftovers, so everyone had pizza all weekend. I had bought 2 chef salads with the pizza, so I had chef salad all weekend! Some of my snacks were a little carb heavy, but not to bad.
