Thoughts on this pain? Ulcer?
So, I'm just about 4.5 months out and overall I think I've been very fortunate to have few issues.
Today I'm having some pretty icky pain in my tummy. I haven't had this happen at all since surgery, so I'm wondering if you guys can help me identify the pain.
This morning I had some Syntrax protein and felt some mild discomfort. When I got to work I had a yogurt and the pain I felt in my stomach was a pretty intense burning, accompanied by nausea. It slowly went away. Then when I had some coffee the feeling came back. It almost feels like that burning ache you get when you have diarrhea, except high up where my pouch is located.
It happened again with lunch and it hurt so bad I got the sweats. It fades over the course of about half an hour or so.
Just now I drank some water and it did it to me again, though it was more mild.
TMI and stuff, I haven't pooped in a couple days, so maybe that is it?
I've been taking omeprazole everyday, but I'm also taking antibiotics or my rosacea. I feel really gassy, and I have a mild headache.
Opinions?

could be your gallbladder ifbyouvstill have it. Could be the anx also. Are you taking the anx with food?i
everytime I take antibiotics - my pouch hates it and tells me that.
You may have irritation - or ulcer... With either one - mild diet - no raw foods,. noting acidic, and you may try to increase the omeprazole to 2 a day.
during my latest gastritis issue - I learned that even though omeprazole is suppose to last 24 hrs - it peaks in 4 hours then drops... I was told to take it 3 times a day - every 8 hours.. a I take the antibiotics..
google "diet for ulcer" ... even when this is irritation only - the antibiotics may really upset your belly...

When I had gastritis, the pain manifested as an ache as if I had really bad gas right under my breastbone and it would radiate over to the left. According to my GP, that's pretty much where the stomach is. I didn't think it was an ulcer or gastritis because I didn't feel any burning or anything like that. I did have some nausea when the pain got really intense. It was very strange because it would go away after several hours and there were no lasting aftereffects and I would feel fine until the next time it happened. I did a course of Prilosec and I now allow only one caffeine drink a day. I'm no longer on the Prilosec and I haven't had an attack since I've cut the caffeine.

The drug you are using is generic of prilosec, it works well for some people. I take the generic of Prevacid and it works really quickly. My Dr said when I have gastric issue to take it twice daily, for 3-5 days then daily for two weeks... and when I take any thing that can cause stomach irritation, if I have not taken it, I take it , for protective.
Sounds like your pouch is yelling at you, and saying it does not like the antibiotic.
Make sure you eat something when you take the antibiotic and take it away from the prilosec. the prilosec will interfere with the antibiotic..
.When you take your poop it should make room for the gas to move down... ulcer and gastric distress will cause sweats..
All the symptoms you mention go with trapped gas and constipation. Stomach and heart are functioning on the same set of nerves, and often palpitations and sweating will occur with stomach and heart issues together.. I would search for an OTC for roseacea. You could be much more comfortable without the ABT, if not crucial to maintain health.
I am dealing with an ulcer currently. It is a duodenal ulcer where my stomach and small intestine are joined. Pain is on the right side near the bottom of my ribs and radiates up under my right breast. Would have thought gallbladder but it's long gone. I a m now on 40 mg omeprozole daily. Eating actually helps as long as I stay away from too much dairy. If your pain and nausea don't go away with a good poop call your doc. An endoscopy is the best way to diagnose an ulcer. I had ultrasound and ct scan before surgeon said to get the endoscopy. Neither of the other tests will show an ulcer but an ultrasound will tell you if it's gallbladder.
