You are young and would typically take it off faster than oldsters like many of us. Also your genes have a lot to do with how you respond in the first year.  A friend of mine took 30 pounds off the first month - her surgery was OCT 2014 - over a year ago and she has done fine.

I had different staples, so I can't comment on that.
