Has anyone done a revision by removing the lapband and getting the sleeve??

The lapband seems not to be working for me. I wonder if after a year my insurance would allow me to get the sleeve and remove the

band? Has anyone have experience with insurances that approve this. Especially since a year has past and noting really happened with the band..

Thanks

If you haven't, I would suggest posting your question on the LapBand forum or the Sleeve Forum. You could also read the posts on the LapBand forum and see that you are not alone.

Lapband is typically a temporary first step to see how you react.  Many lapbanders get RNY or sleeve for long term.  Follow the link posted by MickeyDee.

Hoping success for you with whatever you chose,

Sharon

I easily got my revision covered but I was having HUGE issues with my band and they revised me to the RNY because I had such bad reflux. Good luck getting the band out.
