Growing up we only had a real tree a few times, the rest were fake. We have also had a fake one for the 15 years we have been married. It is just easier than stringing the lights etc. We got a new FAKE tree this year- at the end of season at Kohls. They were $400 and reduced to about $50. So nice!

Second day of pre op liquids today, surgery on Dec 15, next Tuesday!  Luckily they allow me oatmeal in the morning as part of mine.

So-

B: Oatmeal, decaf coffee with lactaid milk/stevia

S: SF jello cup/SF pudding

L: chicken broth with quest protein

S: Isopure with tons of water and crystal light in it

D: Tomato soup/more broth

S: probably SF popcicle

totals- between 800-900 cal

We have always had fake trees.  This year we wont be putting a tree up, since we are essentially homeless! HAHA

I have been running myself ragged this week!!  I am so sick with this damn cold and just WANT TO STOP!!  ugh  It was so crazy this morning I forgot to pack a lunch, and dont have my vitamins with me!!  Guess I will be getting some chicken salad at the local deli for lunch....or something!  ugh

So my menu is up in the air, I will keep it as clean and healthy as possible!

I made chicken parm last night, the breading was made with parm cheese and pork rinds (blended together in my Ninja), it was AMAZING!!!!!!

Morning awesome peeps. I always want to say ladies, because most of us that post are women, but I don't want to offend the guys who lurk. Yesterday was an awesome day for food for me. I stuck to plan and did very little snacking. The ricotta bake that I made was incredibly good. I am eating it twice today!

I wish I could post video here, because I got the cutest video of my little one. He had this whole elaborate death scene last night, it was so hilarious. I might have to start uploading to youtube. it also might motivate me to keep my clutter picked up. I watched the video this morning and thought that I should maybe pick up all the toys, lol.

I was naughty this morning. I got a coffee from my usual Tim Horton's, and on a whim I ordered an everything bagel with cream cheese. I gave half to my co-worker, who is trying to lose 10lbs by New Years, and then I ate less than half of the other half. Now I have an icky tummy ache. I logged it as 1/4 of a bagel with cream cheese. Mind you, I had already had a banana with my pills this morning. My carb count for the day is shot.

B: Banana, 1/4 bagel w/ cream cheese, coffee with SF peppermint mocha coffeemate

L: yummy ricotta bake with meat (I call it no noodle lasagna)

D: same as lunch, I could live on this stuff.

S: Chicken Jerky and a light and fit later if I need a snack.

I'm a work in progress. I fight against my bad habits every day. I am seeing so much progress that I'm excited, but it also terrifies me because I have to fight so hard for it.

It's like crack. I have a coffeemaker at work,  but I have to get their coffee because its so much better than anything I can brew myself.

We spent many years camping the week after Christmas.  We have burned many trees on New Year's Eve and they go up so fast!  And put out so much heat.  Good argument for artificial trees.

Nice-- we'll have god days and we'll have bad days-- just gotta make the good outnumber the bad.

We always had fake tree growing up, so I never knew anything different. Then when I bought my house, initially I had a small fake tree-- then I went BIG-- too big. My hubby hated bringing it up from the basement, and I hated putting it up/taking it down. So we got rid of it and went to real trees. I LOVE them. Love the look, the smell and that they don't scratch your hands up like you've been fighting with a feral cat. And we love have nothing to store for 11 months out of the year. I won't go back to fake-- though we do have mini fake trees in each of my son's rooms.

Time since surgery: 7 months

M1- 1/3c oatmeal, 3/4c. milk (didn't finish this- I added too much nutmeg). 2 boiled eggs

M2- Fairlife Milk with Vanilla/PB2 protein added

M3- 2oz Virginia ham/Srichria chicken breast, cheese stick, and pudding cup

M4: Beef stew
