The diet isn't too bad. I am getting a little sick of it. I am looking forward to having the beef tomorrow. I have lost 5lbs on it already! (but I am pretty sure it is water weight). I go tomorrow for my pre-op.
I am getting nervous and excited. I guess with being a nurse I think about all the things that I know can go wrong.
I am not a nurse and I am thinking the same things! I am researching anything and everything that has to do with the surgery. Now I need to relax and trust God.
I am nervous I will gain on the soup diet. For 6 months I have high protein a little carb. The salt content is high and with diabetes I cannot eat all that fruit. I hope I am not the only one in the history of the diet to gain on the cabbage soup diet! LOL!
You are going to do amazing! You know all the right things to do so that your recovery will be short and complete!

I am glad you are feeling the same and doing the same things as me!!!
I doubt you will gain. The soup is going right through me if you know what I mean!
I am ready to get this week over with though.

I am not sure if he cuts the vagus nerve or not. I saw it on the forum also and was wondering too.
I would check about trying without the fruit. A blood sugar of 130 for a couple of days isnt a horrible reading. I would call and ask them what they want to do. I am not a surgical or bariatric nurse... but I would check only because there is a method to the madness.
