Crap that's a lot of Christmas. If my family lived closer I think I'd feel compelled to do more-- but thankfully we are all spread out. I only shop for my hubby (but really wish we'd agree not to exchange-- we can buy ourselves what we want when we want...) and my kids. Some years my sisters and i will exchange gifts, but that's like pulling teeth too.  I used to buy for people I work with-- but then I started this job and well...I don't like them :-)

My in-laws always shop for me (I wish they wouldn't) and my kids, considering I feel compelled to get them something. My hubby takes care of his Dad, so I usually end up shopping for my mother in law. Its on my hubby to get gifts for anyone else on his side of the family.

My son bought himself the same Kindle-- he was so proud he saved up for it!

You look marvelous!!

Forgot to add we shop for my husband's best friend,  his wife and daughter,  another of his good friends who is single (he's a great guy, let me know if anyone is interested,  I'll be a match maker),  and my good friend, her husband and two kids.  I also do secret santa at work and but small token gifts for my immediate coworkers.

Thank goodness for year end profit sharing,  it basically pays for Christmas.

"Anyway, food is getting on my nerves. I'm fighting lots of head hunger. I think that I just ate way too many carbs over the holidays and now that's all I want. I had to bring some baked sweet potatoes in to work just to get them out of the house. I'm putting my foot down, no more carbs."

Hey, are you ME??  Head hunger is getting me big time this week!!  I have decided that I will eat a low carb snack when "hungry", instead of giving in to the stupid carb monster!!!

It Cosemetics is the foundation brand... but the concealer I use is from Benefit. I use it first and then when I use the brush to do my powder foundation I put another coat on... I have terrible dark circles, don't know what the deal is with that...

I know it looks expensive, but it lasts forever.

Benefit Concealer

It Cosemetics

I bought the It Cosemetics off QVC, same price but I got a free brush basically. I am sure their concealer is good too, but I was hooked on Benefit before I found It.

Still in Holiday Mode as My son and family are here until Saturday. We are decorating the Christmas Tree today. Once my son moved out and I didn't have help, I went fake.... started the year my daughter-in-law was pregnant with my grandson, we had a baby shower 3 days before Christmas as that was the only time they were here. I bought a white fake tree from Walmart and decorated it with baby stuff from the dollar store and pink and blue ribbons, it was very cute. So if you are going fake go fake all the way... bought another White tree at Target on Saturday. The other one became discolored in the attic. I beautiful shade of yellow.

So Thanksgiving last Thursday and doing our Christmas celebration this Thursday. Things move fast around here. Introduced my grandson to my menegerie of stuffed animals that play songs. He was equally terrified and curious at first. Now he is running around playing them all. Much to my son and daughter-in-law's chagrin his favorite is 'Grandma got run over by a reindeer' hahahaha... They are trying to tell him, - 'Grandma ran next to the reindeer.'....

Fluctuating up and down a pound or two while they are here, but doing OK considering I have eaten so many carbs...

B: 1 egg, 1/2 piece toast, 1/2 slice cheese, orange

S: Coffee with pumpkin creamer

L: Spinach, meatball

S: Protein Shake- to be determined

D: Chicken, carrots

S: Greek yogurt with added protein, granola

Exercise: They went out for awhile, so finally got my 21-day-fix in.

It's rainy here in DC today too.  Once I got off the metro and headed to my building, I found that it was surrounded by a giant, muddy river.  I said a little prayer and hopped over it.  Fortunately I made it.  In an alternate universe somewhere my rented gwynnie bee dress is covered in mud along my backside as I sit at the office -- and I have 5 different meetings today.

My eyes have been dark underneath ever since the original surgery.  I have used several concealers but the one I like at the moment is MAC Pro Longwear Concealer.  I wear an NC35 for the foundation, so I use the NW35 for the concealer.  I used to match them, but I find using the opposite (i.e. NC vs NW) is working nicely.

Time Since Surgery: 12 years and 11 months, or 4 months since repair

B: Protein Coffee

S: Vanilla flavored Light & Fit Greek Yogurt

L: leftovers from dinner yesterday, a mixture of turkey (Thanksgiving leftovers), eggplant and tomatoes all stewed together.  This tends to work better with beef or lamb, but the turkey was OK

S: String Cheese

D: Grilled Chicken breast with roasted veggies of some kind

S: Tea and Barry's Bakery French Twists

TOTALS: 959 Cals, 111 protein, 87 Carbs, 20 Fat.

What do the NC and NW stand for?  I'm a drugstore girl for the most part so I don't know how the fancy makeup works.  LOL
