What's On Your Monday Menu, RNYers?
I kind of wish my hubby and I would agree not to exchange. I could be done with my kids but am trying to space out deliveries... I don't like too much coming to the house at one time.
under armor seems to be the gold standard of cold weather gear, but can be pricey. I've been making do by layering and wearing a hat and gloves. Haven't bought anything lined cause I fear I'd swear to death.

Thanksgiving was awesome! I felt like I conquered a huge food demon! I ate a small amount of everything I wanted and didn't ever get that awful stuffed feeling. I used my small ramekin for left-over eating Friday and Saturday so I really feel like I kept a good handle on holiday eating this year!

Good Morning! Had a great weekend and don't go back to wor****il Thursday so a few more days of relaxation (sorry trying not to brag). After I went in for a few hours for work on Friday we went to the running store and my hubby bought my Christmas present early (I am the proud owner of a pair of saucony shoes)! Never-ever would I have thought I would spend any decent sum of money on shoes (typically outlet mall or Ross type stores is where I buy my shoes) but I can confirm it is worth being correctly sized and fitted for the right shoe. A small NSV for me was feeling confident enough to run on the treadmill in the running store. We had the family Thanksgiving dinner at Saturday and had a great time with everyone.

Had a great Thanksgiving, did well with the eating before, day of and day after. Halloween was my downfall, but regular food, blah!
Went for a long walk yesterday on mountain bike trails. Usually walk 3 miles, decided to go on the Yellow trail for 6 miles. I got lost and after 7 miles (somehow on the Blue trail), I hit a road in the state park and hitch-hiked back to my car, approx 5 miles. Yes, you heard that right, a 59 year old woman hitch-hiking.

I am dying to be part of this thread. I feel like this is where the cool kids hang out.... But I haven't been able to figure out how you get your totals.
For example, I eat this fabulous smoked chicken and almond salad. I eat it from my 5.5 oz ramekin so I know quantity wise I am on point. I know it is checken, almond slivers, celery, some mayo and olive oil.... But how do I know the protein count? Or any count? Do you guys measure everything?
I am getting to the point I really need the additional accountability because I am getting smaller and my loss is slowing. Today is my 8 months
I use MyFitnessPal. When I eat the same things, I create a recipe for it and don't have to re-enter the individual items everyday. It takes a while to set up your favs, but it is worth it. I usually add 1 receipe per week for variety. Was just reading a book by Dr. Oz and he states that you should eat 1-2 meals the same, or similar every day and just do one meal that is different. If we have too many choices, we eat more. I think following this thread, that is what most of the veterns do. I'll make something and eat it for lunch or dinner for several days, or if I'm sick of it, I'll freeze it. But I look forward to experimenting for dinner.
