SKINNY SCIENTIST IS A CERTIFIED TAE BO INSTRUCTOR!!!
HI Folks,
Hope life is treating you well and that you have some good strategies in place for the Thanksgiving holiday.
I am writing because it happened! I am now a certified Tae Bo instructor! I am totally stoked about this and it is almost as big of an accomplish as the recent half marathon.
I loved Tae Bo when I was in pre-op and post-op weight loss phases and I am so excited to be an instructor. To become an instructor one needs to have completed CPR certification, a 7 hour camp (5 hours which are drilling, sparring, actual aerobics class and teaching a 5 minute routine; one hour was dedicated to lunch and another hour was talk/discussion), and pass an open book written exam!
My gym had this certification camp and there are about 11 newly certified instructors so it is having a social/learn how to instruct your Tae Bo class for us on Saturday to develop us into better instructors (I.e. how to cue the class, transitions, and "if in doubt jack it out").
This is something that I would have never have even dreamed of pre-surgery. I am looking forward to having another NEW hobby for the NEW me just in time for the NEW year!
Best wishes!
