Happy Friday everyone! I've had a great day so far. The lady in front of me in the Tim Horton's drive thru bought my small coffee with cream for me! I know, it's only $1.48, but it surprised me and really made me feel good. Hoorah for people paying it forward. I'm going to have to find an opportunity to make someone's day like that lady did. Her license plate said GMA of 15, and I think she's got some really lucky grandkids.

No hunters in my immediate family, and none of my friends really hunt. My son has always wanted to go fishing and camping, but my skills are not there. My husbands idea of camping is getting a hotel room near the beach, and my sons bio dad isn't the woodsy type either. Poor kid. We're not anti-gun, we own hand guns and actually really enjoy going to the gun range for target shooting. My oldest has taken a safety class and gets to shoot with us, so it's a nice family thing. I kinda wish I was more into woodsy stuff, but it was always so hard to go without the luxuries while being morbidly obese. maybe now that I'm dropping the weight I'll be willing to try it. Now I must convince my spoiled husband that he should try it too... hmm. probably not going to happen.

I had my 3 months follow up with the surgeons PA yesterday. I did get pats on the back, and I officially asked what their goal weight was for me, since I had never got a number. My weight was down to 81lbs lost, which was nearly 2 pounds lighter than my scale yesterday morning(I was giddy). She said that at 5'3" my ideal weight is 115 (yeah, right), and that they expect me to lose 70% of my excess weight, so I started at 291 so my goal weight would be 168lbs. However, since I've already lost 81lbs of it, there is no reason that I can't go far beyond that and reach my goal of 140lbs. She made me promise to start weight training just a few days a week, since she's worried about me losing muscle mass losing so quickly. I told her I'd be lifting my 30lb toddler on the regular. lol

Anyway, I've had such a great day, and I'm leaving early from work today. My baby turns 2 tomorrow and we're having a family party at my house. Family party means 12 kids (all cousins) and their parents. I've got so much to do, and I'm baking cupcakes tonight instead of buying a whole cake.

We're ordering out from the pizza place for my co-workers birthday and I scoured their menu and decided on a small meatball sub. I'll eat the meatballs and toss the bun. here's my food plan:

B: Light and Fit and a free coffee with cream, 2 sf pumpkin flavor shots and splenda

L: meatballs with sauce and cheese (no bun, no way)

D: rotisserie chicken and steamed cauliflower

S: cheese stick pickled veggies and a premeir protein later on

Totals:

Cal 751 protein 79 carb 27 fat 37

He is soooo cute. Keep your protein up and that will help preserve your muscles. I posted last month about going for Body-fat-testing and found out I have higher than average amount of muscle. It is not from weight training. It is from carrying around an excess 200lbs, and even though I lost fast...I believe I kept a good portion of it because of the "protein first' mantra.

Also because of that greater muscle mass, turns out that the 24% body fat at the top end of a normal BMI I was shooting for.. is actually 19 pounds heavier than I thought. BMI charts are generic.

In the irony category I am at an eating disorder conference today. Breakfast was a table full if carbs and an obligatory platter of fruit. We will see what lunch is. Brought my own drinks, and a bar if needed. Ate breakfast at home. 

B: whole grain cream of wheat with protein powder and benefiberS: 

L: ?? Or bar

S: premier protein 

D: salad, pineapple chicken

S: Greek yogurt

exercise: 21 day fix

Wow, you'd think they'd have planned better. 

That makes me wonder,  had anyone ever gone to an OH conference?  What was the food like there?

Good morning everyone.  It is a beautiful, sunny day here in Portland.  It will be dry for the next few days, which means cold temps.  I have to move my lemon tree inside today so it doesn't freeze.  My father and brothers (I have five older brothers) used to hunt years ago.  Only two still hunt, but I think it is more of a bro bonding experience than a burning desire to shoot Bambi.  Venison isn't my favorite meat, but I do like a nice deer sausage.

I am posting a couple of pictures today (making up for lost time).  The first one is of my beautiful baby girl Layla.  I love her green eyes, and she is the sweetest cat ever.  She has never met a stranger, and loves having her belly rubbed.  The second I took this morning.  I was trying to show the back of the sweater, but didn't quite make it, but am posting it because I think my butt looks pretty good.   The third was taken a couple of weeks ago at a meet and greet with Brandi Chastain (middle).  That's my gorgeous niece on the other side of Brandi.

Time Since Surgery: 1 Year!  I just looked at the calendar and realized that tomorrow is my surgiversary.

B:  Egg Beater Omelette with bacon and FF mozzarella

S:  Light and Fit Greek - Key Lime

L:  Chicken soup with tomatoes and white beans

S:  1/2 honeycrisp apple and laughing cow cheese wedge

D:  4 oz. chicken breast
