What's on Your Wednesday Menu, RNYers?
Good Morning and happy Thanksgiving Eve! In true "fat office" fashion, someone just brought in bagels. le sigh Those mf-ers are still warm and I can smell them from where I'm sitting. Stay strong, Kristen! LOL
I think today's productivity level here at work will be loooow. There's hardly anyone here and I'm not feeling particularly efficient. Plus I've got so much to do at home to get ready to leave for the weekend; I think I'd have less to do if we were staying home. Actually I know I'd have less to do. And we're bringing the dog, which causes me incredible amounts of anxiety because it's just one extra "thing" to worry about. OK, enough *****ing. LOL
Question of the Day! This is cliché, I realize, but what are you thankful for? You can be as honest or as snarky as you want here. This is a No Judgment zone. I'll go first: I am thankful for the gift of my surgery, this site, and our little group of menu posters in particular. You guys are super great. I'm also thankful for heated car seats and Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey.
Time since surgery: 16 months, 1 week

S: Friendly Farms strawberry Greek yogurt
L: Buffalo chicken salad, pork rinds and a cheese stick
D: venison chili with a Sargento Ultra Thin cheddar slice and an over easy egg. Swear. LMAO

Have a great day and Happy Thanksgiving!
Kristen, how is it possible we are thankful for EXACTLY the same things? This menu group means the world to me and I feel like you are my sisters sharing a common experience! That Clinique color is my favorite! Oh. I'll add that I'm thankful for my heated steering wheel in addition to heated seats!! Happy Thanksgiving!
Good Morning! If I was traveling with my dog that would be the most anxious part for me as he does not like car rides. Hope Bagel is a better traveler than Ruppert is. This morning my daughter and I plan to bake some cookies that we will deliver to 2 fire stations and police stations tomorrow-it's our little family tradition that we have been doing for 6 years.
I am very thankful for all of you here as well as all my friends and family that continue to support me! Hope you all enjoy the holiday however you choose to spend it.

Good morning. Emie, I love that tradition! What a thoughtful thing for you and your daughter to do.
In addition to the things AV mentioned, I'm thankful for my surgeon and the skill, thoughtfulness and concern he has demonstrated both in my initial surgery and the issues I've had since. I'd be lost without him. I'm also thankful for my family and friends and their unwaivering support, Starbucks skinny lattes, and again, all of you! My menu is kind of up in the air, but I think I'm finally over the brownies I baked . . . I have no desire to have any. A thanksgiving miracle!!!
B: Light & Fit and Peanut Butter
S: Skinny latte
L: Grilled chicken and steamed veggies
S: Somersaults or kind bar
D: Beef brisket and tomato salad
S: maybe more yogurt if I need a protein boost

Happy Thanksgiving all.
Non productive hah! I've knocked out 5 quotes, sent out invoices, distributed the mail, took care of the cash receipts, answered several silly questions without being snarky, filled out permits for upcoming work, met with the powers that be, regarding holiday party, updated the attendee list for the holiday party, spoke with the toy lady about presents for the kids, all while trying to finish this post. And just now got interrupted once more UGH!
Time since surgery 7 months:
Breakfast: Protein Shake
Lunch: Ham, Cheese and Mary's gone crackers
Dinner; Probably eggs, since everything else is for tomorrow.
S: Yasso bar baby!
Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Oh I forgot to write what I am am thankful for:
My family, my health and my tool and this board (even though I hardly ever have a chance to read, nevermind post very often anymore). I am thankful that I am an American and have the freedoms that I do. I am thankful to have a job which pays a living wage and has great health insurance and other lovely benefits. I am thankful for Yasso Bars and Jello Sugar Free Pudding so I don't have to give up everything chocolate or sweet. I am also thankful for Loreal Regenerist, and for concealer, because the signs of aging are very prevalent lately and those help a bit.
Have a great Thanksgiving everyone.
Morning everyone ^^ I am thankful for my daughter not having school til Monday so I can sleep in to 9am instead of getting up around 6:30 haha. But in all seriousness, I am thankful for my wonderful daughter. She brightens even the darkest of days. I am thankful that this is the last deployment my husband will be on, so no more missed holidays. I am extremely thankful for this website. I was starting to lose my head about the surgery, and finding you guys really helped me out. I was also eating carbs before joining . (potatoes were on my surgeon recommended food list) I also am thankful for this group of menu posters. :) I have started tracking all of my food and exercise on myfitnesspal since I started posting on here. So thank you for helping me stay on target! :) you guys are the best!
