What's On Your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?
Hey-o! I thought it was Thursday until about an hour ago. Nothing ruins your day more than that. LMAO Well, that and the fact that it was 21 degrees this morning, per the temperature gauge in my Jeep. Frosty! My dog was like, "what the hell is all this crunchy white stuff". I had to wear gloves, you guys.
Time since surgery: 16 months today!
B: coffee and baked banana oatmeal with a TB of peanut butter
S: That 1/3 of a pumpkin pie Quest bar I didn't eat yesterday. I have all of these snacks and things here at work and not enough calories to fit them in so they just keep piling up. LOL
L: Buffalo chicken salad, pork rinds and a cheese stick.
D: Scouts tonight so it's a black bean burger with a slice of Velveeta topped with an over easy egg.

I know it's freezing out, right? I tried to go for a walk but turned my ass right back around and made tea.
In other more exciting news...I GOT THE JOB! Eep, so excited... I start in 2 weeks.
I have a habit of being a bit of a workaholic and I am not always so great about self-care and work-life-balance. I can't remember taking a real lunch break, ever, and I have certainly never left my desk to take a walk or go to the gym in the middle of the day! I saw others do it, but I never felt confident enough to prioritize myself over my work.
But the last 4 months "off" have really taught me a lot about going slower and taking care of myself. I really want to go into the new job with a new way of being. I am really excited to get a fresh start and do this right!
...4.5 months post op...

Exercise
Yesterday I spent a ridiculous amount of time at the gym and totally over did it. I have muscles screaming at me that I didn't even know I have! But I am heading back in a few minutes...staying of the machines but hope to run 3 miles on the treadmill.

Yay for the new job! Don't fall into the trap of not taking time for lunch/yourself during the day. You will be a better employee because of it. Also if you set not taking breaks as the 'standard' when you get there, that will become the norm and be expected.

Good Morning!
I had a NSV yesterday. I always loved the look of the Jennifer Lopez line at Kohl's but only the regular size line---I didn't like the plus size styles. Yesterday I decided to pick up a new shirt for date night with my husband and guess what I was able to get! I know its silly but it feels like a huge win for me! '
