Goo morning!

Had a very productive weekend and fun weekend, though the news of the bombings in Paris made me sad, angry and worried that it could happen here again.

On a brighter note, got lots of pre-holiday cleaning and pitching done on Saturday, went out for dinner Saturday night for hubby's birthday.   Made a delicious beef stew and a delectable chocolate layer cake with frosting that I made with Nutella and Mascarpone Cheese.  I did indulge because, well, I had to.  Sent most of it home with my daughter's boyfriend.

My daughter and her boyfriend came over to watch the game with us and celebrate with hubby and the Patriots beat the Giants.  Sorry Giants fans.

I also managed 3 great workouts in a row, Saturday, Sunday and this morning as hubby took the day off and I didn't have to drive my daughter to school.

I made a banoffee pie yesterday, and also indulged because I had to.  The Nice n Easy up the road sells these big bags of bananas for a dollar once they start to turn brown and I always pick one up.  I didn't want to make the usual banana bread, so when I went searching for banana recipes, this pie came up.  I'd never had it before, but it's pretty much the food of the gods.

I've pinned that recipe a couple of times, but haven't made it.  It sounds so good.

I always make banana cupcakes with peanut butter buttercream (Chunky Monkeys).  I'll have to look into your banoffee pie thingy :)

No turtlenecks for me, I'm definitely choking.  I used to like mock turtlenecks, but not anymore.   Ocassionally I like a cowl, but I'm usually too hot in a heavier sweater.  Although, I am a bit colder these days than I used to be.

I was just saying to my friend that I'm cold more lately, and his response was "maybe you're just not used to losing all your insulation." Made my morning lol

Good Morning! My menu is up in the air today as I feel completely miserable and will be leaving the office as soon as I can. I was feeling better yesterday and this cold came back something fierce last night :( I will say the one known on my menu today is the banana baked oatmeal, I made it yesterday while it was raining and Kristen it's simply amazing!!! Anyhow, hope everyone has a great day.
