Hair Loss Questions
I am 4.5 months out. The amount of hair I loose when I wa**** its crazy. I have to clear a large chunk of it from the drain, and then I blow dry it and I have another large amount tangled in my fingers. When I run my hair randomly through my hair, it falls out like crazy. I have been keeping it short to try and hide the amount I have lost. I hear that it gets better but I completely understand how you feel. I wash my hair every other day so I am not over doing it and it doesn't seem to help. I have also noticed my hair becoming considerably oily.
I lost hair from the beginning of month 4 until month 9, and lost literally half of my hair. The vast majority if it grew back, but somehow (I still don't quite understand how) some of it did not. The new hair started growing almost as soon as the hair loss stopped. Be prepared for lots of little short hairs sticking up, LOL.
You are likely just noticing the oiliness more because there is less hair (and the same amount of oil production). Other than using a shampoo for oily hair, I'm afraid I don't have any suggestions.
Keep in mind that your hair loss is probably less noticeable to others than it is to you because your face and body are getting smaller, and with a smaller face, it makes the face-to-hair ratio look more normal. I'm not saying they won't notice (several people commented in mine), but they probably don't notice as much as you do (and will probably notice more if you get a wig).

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
