Too many liquids?

I am a newbie. I have been stalking this site for the past 6 months, and have learned so much! Today I am 4 days post op, and although in pain, am having no problems with my liquids. For some reason this makes me nervous. Can I stretch my pouch with my liquids? I drank 12 ounces in about 20 minutes this morning. I just want to use my tool correctly, and wanted some input. thanks!

I had the same worries right after I had surgery.  My dietitian told me that my pouch would tell me if I was drinking too much/too quickly.

You can't stretch anything with liquids. Most people have no trouble drinking. You only read posts from people who do have problems.

It sounds like you are doing great.

It's a wonderful thing that you can drink because you are hydrating your body!  You can't stretch your pouch off of a liquid, but it's a good thing to always ask about anything.  Otherwise, if you're like me, I overthink.  At this stage, with your body getting in a lower calorie count, it's a good thing to be able to drink and stay hydrated.  Good luck!
