What's On Your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
Good morning all! My baby girl (yes, even though she is almost 11)has a cold and spent her day off of school yesterday laying around on the couch and woke up today feeling worse. I don't feel 100% either although I made it through my workout hoping that it would help me feel better...no such luck. I forgot about the BOGO bux, I will have make it happen at least once but may wait until the "extra" day that they add on for members in hopes that it's not as busy-we shall see. I think I need some brown boots this year...thanks for reminding me :)

Ahh. I am very late to the party today. I am only at work a half day because my son has an orchestra recital tonight and failed to mention that they need to wear dress clothes. Of which he has NONE! So I will spend my improptu afternoon off shopping for tween boy dress clothing. Kill me now. On a happier note, I have the afternoon off :)
I have been trying to update my blog often and today I finally made it through my half Ironman. Now I can focus on my recent lack of training, LOL. Anyway, I hope a couple of you are enjoying my babbling ;)

Good morning. I hear you on the boots. I have a pair that I ordered last black Friday thinking I'd lost enough to zip them up. No such luck. I was going to return them, but totally forgot to actually do it. I found them in the closet this past weekend and they fit, with extra room at the top. I was going to wear them today with a pair of black leggings, but I have a Dr. appt. and there is NO WAY I'm getting on a scale wearing knee high boots, and they rush you through the weigh in . . . so maybe this weekend. I'm hoping to hear there's a major improvement in my labs at my appt. this afternoon but I don't have the best feeling about it. I'm thinking stress from the pending appt. is probably what is causing all my stomach and eating issues this week. Food just doesn't seem to want to go down or stay down.
Super excited about BOGO at Starbucks. I have been craving a SF Peppermint Mocha. My Dr. appt. is at 1:30 and there's a Starbucks in his office tower so I know where I'll be headed after!! My food plan is kinda up in the air since I have to leave the office for my appt. at lunch time. It's also an exercise day so that means extra food. Anyway, here's the plan:
B: Caramel Apple Overnight oats
S: Ham and Cheese roll up on the way to the Dr.
L: Italian sausage if I'm hungry after my appt.
S: SF Peppermint Mocha!!!!
D: Tri Tip and Ceasar salad
Totals: Cal. 1285; Protein: 109g; Fat: 54g; Carbs: 88g
I've never had Starbucks. In fact, I've never had coffee, not even a sip. The smell totally turns me off.
I only shopped a little yesterday-- I was mostly looking to try on to see if my size changed. I can now fit into size 16 pants :-) AND they are 16's from the misses dept...not plus-size department! They are snug-- but not so much I couldn't wear them. I don't need any just yet-- so by the time I do they should fit perfectly fine. My 20's have to go though. I bought the cutest summer dress on clearance for $13, its a size 14W...it fits except for the top too buttons won't button. If I wanted to go for the ****ty look it would work fine-- but I won't need it till the spring/summer anyway. I also bought a poncho type sweater, but can't for the life of me figure what is the front vs the back...
Time since surgery: 6 months
Meal 1: Yogurt & Kashi Granola bar
Meal 2: 2oz chicken salad and cheese stick
Meal 3: Leftovers from last night- Oxtail, plantains, rice & peas (eating minimal rice though). I may get something else because there really isn't much meat left to get enough protein out of this meal.
Meal 4: Chicken sausage & pasta sauce

Good morning everyone. It's chilly here in Portland, but dry. The rain is supposed to move in tonight, so I will enjoy the dry for now. I am all about the boots, including hooker boots. I'm wearing a pair right now that I could barely zip up before surgery (they have stretchy fabric in the back), and now I can carry my wallet in them.
My food plan is all messed up today. I have a working lunch and a charity event after work, so I have no idea what is on the menu. I will make it work whatever it is, but it does make planning a challenge.
Time since surgery: Almost a year (surgiversary 11/20):
B: Egg Beaters omelette with FF mozzarella and bacon
S: Light and Fit Greek - Caramel Apple Pie
L: TBD - Working lunch
S: String Cheese
D: TBD - Charity event
