What's On Your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?
on 11/10/15 10:56 am
Are you hydrated enough? 99% of the time that I feel queasy, I can get rid of it by drinking twice as much as I think I need! It happened to me last week. Was drinking as much as usual but I think the exercise took more out of me than I realized. I drank protein shakes all day and had water in between. I also had a G2 for electrolytes and felt fine again by the next morning.
- High Weight before LapBand: 200 (2008)
- High Weight before RNY: 160 (2015)
- Lowest post-op weight: 110 (2016)
- Maintenance Weight: 120 (2017-2019)
- Battling Regain Weight: 135 (current)
Yeah, hydration is not a problem. I have 60 oz in already and was over 100 oz yesterday. I ran out and bought a protein shake (I haven't had one in months) and will see if that will stay down. If not, I'm just going to overload on water (plain and propel) and not worry about the food. One day without food will most definitely not hurt me!
Good morning!
I'm leaving today to head to Anchorage where I'm having my surgery; I have a few pre-op appointments early in the morning so I have to leave today to be there in time. I'm so ready to get the surgery over and done with so I can start healing and get going with the rest of my life!!
Of course I'm on the clear liquid diet so today's menu is pretty much the same as yesterday....just different flavors of protein drinks

Sorry Stacy & AV for the bad start. Hoping it gets better. Mamameta (sorry trying to remember) Love the Jamis. They had a bike demo at a county park a few years back. I was testing a bunch of road bikes. I also tested a tri bike--they are so fast, you will love it. I am again 3rd time since surgery trying the C25k beginning running program. I want to do a triathalon at some point.
I'm pretty lazy, so this looks just like yesterday's menu:
3 months since surgery, 2nd day back on track
B: Chai tea w/protein shake
L: Zuchinni noodle lasagna w/ground chicken
D: hamburger w/blue cheese (yesterday's leftover lunch)
Snacks: 2 hard boiled eggs, grapes, 2 carbmaster yogurts
Totals: 700 cal, 72 protein, 28 carbs
Exercise: roller skating working on technique, 15 min of slow jogging and some walking
And I'm going to make the bananna oatmeal bars and the meatballs this weekend.
