What's On Your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?
AV, Sorry you've had such a ****ty morning. It's also rainy and blah here. My oldest had me at my wits end this morning. It's mid 40's and rainy, and he refuses to wear his coat to school, and he was running around looking for his umbrella that he never found, so he left for the bus in a short sleeve polo shirt, and no jacket or umbrella. I swear, he's going to give me a coronary. He says his coat gave him an allergy attack. It's a nice wool coat and we just had it cleaned, so he should be able to wear it just fine. I'm going to have a talk with him about it tonight, he's not acting very responsible. He's 16, so if he wants to freeze his ass off at the bus stop, then fine by me, but he's gotta calm down a bit. Good thing is that he was running late, so he shouldn't have had to stay out there for long anyway.
My baby was still sleeping when I left the house for work. I hate those mornings when I don't get to see him because he sleeps in. my husband works out of the house so he gets him ready and to grandma after I'm already gone. Well on my drive in I got a text from my husband that said that when he asked Kal (the baby) who he loves, all he kept repeating was mommy, mommy, mommy. Made me smile. I did call him and talk to him before I got into the office, and it kinda made my day. he's really shaping up to be a mommas boy.
So, I figured out that I do like the Premeire Protein Shakes now. Immediately after surgery I couldn't stand them, but I have been strugging to get enough protein in, so I grabbed a vanilla this morning and I think I can actually finish the whole thing! my menu looks outstanding this morning, if I do say so myself.
here it is:
B: premier Protein Vanilla, L&F Caramel Apple Pie Yogurt
L: chicken breast with chili, sour cream and salsa
D: Shrimp and zucchini noodles in a garlicy sauce concoction that I make. So yummy
S: Havarti Cheese, raw carrots and snap peas, half a meat stick

I took my vitamins in pill form this morning. I have some multivitamin mini pills that I got from GNC pre-op and I took two. I am excited that they didn't bother my tummy at all. This is going to be so much easier than chewables, and honestly I'm worried about my vitamin intake, I haven't been very good about it at all. my 3 months follow up with the surgeon is next week and I have to get my blood drawn this tomorrow morning. I hope it's not that bad.
Rainy day here too.... Haven't had too many of them...feels weird. My son's college roommate is here... went to city to have dinner with him, and ended up bringing him back because he was off today. He is my son from another Mother. He is from India and has been in there for 2 years and this is the first time I am seeing him since he got back.
B: 1 slice french toast with high fiber bread and egg beaters. SF syrup
L: Tuna, salad
S: Premier Protein
D: Roast chicken and veggies
S: Greek Yogurt

Oh my, not a great start to your day for sure. Hope it gets better Kristen!
Hoping for less chaos the remainder of this week. Both cars made trips to dealership (very thankful for warranties) mine with a transmission module thing and hubby's with a defective water pump and Hubby's colonoscopy last Friday I am ready for some norm. We have been getting some much needed rain and I got to put my flannel sheets on my bed over the weekend. I am thinking while I am on vacation during Thanksgiving I need to try some of your amazing baked oatmeal!! After all the recommendations on the skinny peppermint I tried it (twice actually!). I have found I like it with 1/2 the amount of mocha.....yummy!

Have a great one!
When it's chilly, there is nothing better than sliding into flannel sheets. Which reminds me; I ripped my only set last winter so I need to get some new ones!
Love Macy's...may have gone a little crazy on Sunday when they were having a special 25% off....

OH no, you do have a case of the Terrible Tuesdays! Not raining here yet, but it will be later. I'm glad it didn't start earlier as I left my jacket at work yesterday hurrying out of here to bring dd to the dentist and her "Fockey" banquet. We left the banquet at 6:00, I ran home and back to the high school for a 7:00 PTO meeting which didn't get out until 9:30. I'm feeling a tad tired this morning.

good morning. Sorry about your crappy morning, AV. I hate when that happens. But, the baked oatmeal sounds delish. I'm going to try and make some on Friday so I can have a chunk before my run on Saturday. It's been cold here (well in the low 50's but that's cold for Los Angeles) the past few mornings and its been hard for me to get motivated. Also, I seem to be having stomach issues where nothing I eat sits right. It's made menu planning really hard because eating is making me feel sick. I think I topped out in the 700 calorie range yesterday since I didn't eat everything I had plugged into MFP. I was hoping today would be better, but I just finished some ground turkey and I have the same sick feeling. So today might be another low cal day for me. I have a Dr. appt. already on the books for Thursday so if this continues at least I can maybe try to find a solution. Here's the plan (for what it's worth since I don't think I will be following it)
B: Ground turkey, spinach, cheese, skinny vanilla latte (I used mobile order at Starbucks and forgot all about the peppermint latte which sounds soooo good right now. I'll have to program it in so I can order one!)
S: Somersaults and grapes
L: Chicken Breast and steamed veggies
S: Light and Fit and PB
D: Tri Tip and Salad
