Going to the Doc in about an hour for the results of my extensive bloodwork. Also had some other medical stuff this week so just so not feeling this.... Teaching a charity paint nite for a bunch of ladies I know from a Homeschool group tonight, and then tomorrow I have a clothing swap at my house for our local WLS support group. (not hospital based, people from all different surgeons) So that will keep me busy.

B: Pumpkin Pie Smoothie (Inspire brand- and it is awesome)

L: Chicken, Salad

S: Kind bar with protein

D: Chicken soup before I leave and probably something at paint night.

S: Yogurt - if I need it when I get home.

Morning AV & ladies/gents!  Life is great here in cold windy Canada.  Just wanted to stop in and say hi. I read all your posts daily but often don't have to post, will try more often.  I am posting today as this Sunday (Nov 15th) is my two year surgiversary!  Life is amazing and I could not be happier.  I would be a little happier if I had the range of food/shops that you gals have but what ya gonna do! (No Trader Joe's no Macy's no Target, so the shopping up here in Canada is pretty limited).  Weekend plans, today is a vacation day, already did a 5km hike with my pups and hubby. Then out to my folks for a visit in the afternoon and then this evening going to my sisters house for dinner and visiting with old friends of ours from our childhood. Saturday one of my little cousins is turning one so his Mom is having a big house full of company for his little one year bday party, should be fun.  Sunday is the usual, groceries, laundry, clean the house, hike with the pups.

I don't know what Aldi is, but I am sure I would love it!  I really need to go cross boarder shopping some time soon! LOL  So glad you are all doing so well, I am so happy to see you loving life!

Time since surgery - TWO years (Nov 15th 2013)!!

B: home made chocolate protein shake (1% lactose free milk, two scoops bulk barn protein powder)

B2: 10 shrimps and 2 tbsp of ****tail sauce

L: 4 oz chicken tikka masala (has big chunks of chicken breast, onions, carrots in masala sauce)

S: 1/4 unsalted cashews & vanilla greek Activia yogurt

D: 4oz of Thai Basil chicken with veggies

S: KIND chocolate peanut butter + protein bar

TOTALS: 1300 calories, 124 protein, 64 carbs, 35 fat

Vits: AM done calcium on alarms

Exercise: 5 km hike done with the dogs, will go for a nice walk with my folks later for 2-3 kms

Happy weekend all!

First pic is of me from the day of my surgery, hubby brought me flowers and this is me very drugged up but happy in my hospital room! Next pic is of me at a wedding this summer, I am the girl in the blue dress & grey shawl (the other girl is one of my best friends).  I started at 250 lbs, and today I weighed in at 118 lbs, life is pretty awesome. Best of luck to all the newbies and keep being amazing to all the vets!  Thanks for letting me share my journey and be a part of your lives too!

I miss you to Nikki!  I will try hard to post more, sorry my bad!

I just asked my husband where is Wisconsin and this is what he answers me "Oh its far, but that's where the Green Bay Packers play so we should go!" Did I mention my hubby is a sports fanatic  LOL

Will have to take a look at $$ and time off and plan a visit to see my fellow "runner"

Thank you Melissa Sue.  Just so you all know it was a lot of blood, sweat & tears that got me here today. Not everyday was easy and as time goes forward it gets easier for me and the routines I have built for myself and the rules that I follow have kept me successful. You ca do it too and you will.  Keep up the great work, you got this!!

You look amazing Daisy! Can I ask where you are located? I am in Belleville Ontario. I agree with you about the limited resources for foods that are bariatric friendly. I have been saying for a couple months now that I need to go to the States for 48 hours so I can bring back a bunch of things that we can't find here. I am thinking of trying to organize a girls weekend trip to Watertown for some serious shopping. If I can get a few girls to agree it will save us all on a hotel room. Keep up your great work! Chris

Hi Chris,

I live North West of Toronto, so sorry not close to Belleville!  And yes as much as I love to support my fellow RNY menu posters its hard as they have such great options for food and shopping for clothes and even on Amazon.com the different products they get.  But I digress... I have also considered saving up some money and going cross boarder shopping for 4-5 days so that I can stock up.  I went to Texas last year at this time and was like a kid in a candy store getting to visit all the stores and shops these ladies mention. It was heaven.  If you have fellow WLS friends that are close enough to you to travel with you then I say go for it do a shopping trip!  Good luck!

And thank your kind words, I really appreciate all the love & support from everyone on here.

Best of luck on your journey!

Daisy
