No weight loss

I had my surgery on feb. 18th. I have lost slow but went from 243 pounds down to 150.6. However on sept 14 I weighed 152.6 and have only lost 2 pounds since. I weight and measure everything and never go above 800 calories per day and always stay under 50 carbs a day. I work out at least 4 times a week. I just recently started back working out more than just walking after having 5 small surgeries for cancer until now I wasn't permitted to work out. The surgeries were done in this time period from sept. 15th until oct. 28th when my last sutures came out. Any clue as to why no weight loss? It's so frustrating and discouraging not to loose while consuming so little. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you!

Weight loss slows as you get further out.  I lost about 10 pounds between six and twelve months out.

I knew my weight loss would slow down but it's never come off fast and I'm worried I'm done, I'm still over weight! Thank you for your reply

I'm sure your body is still healing from what you just been through. Give yourself a break okay? Stress doesn't help either and I'm sure dealing with cancer was not the easiest thing to go through. Are you keeping up with the water? I know it's frustrating. I just broke a stall myself. Just stick with it. The scale is going to drop eventually. :)

I work midnight shift and my snack is divided in to different times. About 2am & 5:30am.I am at a normal weight when I reach 140#. My doctor wants me at 125. At this point I don't see it happening.

My immediate thought... that doesn't seem like enough food... especially if you are working out more, and working night shift, both of which causes extra stresses on the body.  Instead of two shakes a day, have you tried packing some dense protein for work?  When I was still working in the ER post-surgery, I kept a lot of beef jerky and almonds around... also try adding some full-fat mayo to the tuna, etc.  Don't go nuts... you don't need a ton more... but adding some real food might shake things up.

Of course your mileage may vary...

You just might be right more dense protein might make a difference. I can't really eat before I go to bed in the morning because it doesn't sit well in my pouch. So I always have a shake. Increasing my calorie intake scares me ... I don't want to gain after everything I have done to get to this point. I'm going to take your advice and increase my calories a little and add in more dense proteins and see if it helps. Thank you.

At 150lbs you can't be too far from goal. It gets slower the further you are out, and the closer you are to goal. You aren't necessarilt doing anything 'wrong'....I always think it helps to change up what you are eating, sometimes we get into a rut. And also make sure you are eating some fat...we need that too.
