Warning TMI question
Most people are constipated post-RNY, but for some (like me), diarrhea becomes the new norm. You will need to become more alert to signs of dehydration (dizzy, muscle cramps, skin tenting, heart palpitations) and talk to your doctor if it gets too excessive.
Or you could have a tummy bug.
Also some vitamins can lead to diarrhea. Magnesium Oxide (which is useless as a supplement but useful as a laxative) is a common culprit.

Diarrhea was the norm for me for about 2 weeks post op. I figured it was because I wasn't taking in any solids yet and it just took that long for everything to settle down and get all that gas finally out of my system. I don't think it's too out of the ordinary that you are having diarrhea but give your nurse a call. Gratz on your surgery :)

Liquid in... liquid out. Diarrhea is fairly common after surgery for this reason.
You still could be lactose intolerant. Check your protein powder and make sure it contains whey isolate only. If the label says it has whey concentrate, it has lactose in it. I would give the "no lactose" idea a little more time. Some times it takes a few days to feel the benefit of going lactose free.
Yes had diarrhea daily until I started on solids....
