What's On Your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
Good Thursday morning to all! It's almost here you guys...the weekend is coming! Is anyone doing anything Halloween related, aside from trick or treating with the kids? We live so far out in the sticks, we've never had a single trick or treater in the 6 years we've been there. I usually drive to a neighboring town and take my kid trick or treating or we go to one of his friend's who lives in an actual development. I like Halloween and I always think a grown up costume party or something sounds super fun, but I don't know anyone who actually throws one. Maybe I need new IRL friends. LOL
Kristen's Halloween Question of the Day! Candy Corn: delicious sugary treat or evil nugget of doom? Discuss.
Time since surgery: 15+ months
B: coffee, black bean burger with a slice of Velveeta and a HB egg
S: turkey pepperoni and a LC wedge. This is my new favorite snack.
L: Krab salad with olive oil mayo and celery, pork rinds and a cheese stick. I bought the fake crab because I wanted something different, but I had no idea there were so many carbs! I barely squeaked in under my 50 gm limit for the day. I'm going for the real deal next time.
D: Tuna salad with olive oil mayo an celery on 34 degree crackers

I am fully on Team Candy Corn. Love it. However, the 7 pieces I had yesterday clocked in at 53 calories and 13 carbs, so....

I guess I'm lucky that I think candy corn is yucky. All those waxy sugary candies gross me out. I'll take chocolate over sugar any day!
B: hot chai protein drink
S: cottage cheese and green peppers
L: hamburger (no bun)
S: baby bell cheese and blueberry thin addictives
D: salmon and spinach
Exercise
um...? Still pouring, so probably elliptical and a daily burn video.

I am looking forward to this weekend. We are heading out of town for a few days to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. I bought a wedding gown from a thrift shop and a tiara so I am dressing up and going out as a bride. My husband is wearing a tuxedo t-shirt.
I hate candy corn so that doesn't bother me thank goodness. Now put a Twix in front of me that is scary what would happen.
B:Sugar-free hot cocoa /Protein bar
S:Cheese stick
L:Chili
D:Eggs with ham. Making my son's favorite dinner grilled cheese and tomato soup
Vitamins are in water is going down.
Have a great day
Candy corn is one of those things I don't love but will eat and continue to eat if they are in front of me so I vote EVIL Nugget of Doom! But "fun" size candy bars have been my downfall lately. They look so innocent and small but each one has like 80 calories!! My god!
We go to a Halloween party on Saturday night but only the kids dress up. The adults just eat chili and drink :) Work is fanatical about Halloween. We have a huge costume contest and Halloween themed potluck. I am making these:
I will be tame compared to others!
My menu is a hot mess today! Morning meeting, lunch date and dinner date make for a lot of uncertainty. Hopefully I can stay in control.
Totally agree, Candy corn is so yummy, and the devil. I would eat some, then 20 minutes later I would "hulk' out due to the sugar down.
It will not stop raining here - since Sunday. Makes me non motivational to do anything.
B: Oatmeal
S: String cheese
D: Turkey burger on triscuits (I think) or Chicken salad depending on husband.
Not sure what else. Staying away from splenda today, been getting massive headaches and I think it is related. We will see...
