swimming
I'm off for my 3rd week of swimming. I'm already going further and faster. And I'm losing some weight.
I'm finding it so peaceful in the water. I do hate getting out because gravity drags my big body down.
I've asked some women at the gym why no one swims (they are on instruments of torture) and they universally say they wouldn't want anyone to see them in a bathing suit. I'm way past that b.s.

A psychotic thing goes on here in the winters called POLAR PLUNGES--cutting a hole in a frozen lake for people to line up and jump in the water. I remember beaming with pride watching a MO gal wearing nothing but a one-piece bathing suit do a flying belly flop in front of a big crowd. She didn't care, either.
I go at a really slow time. I'm swimming at a gym while my son is at his swim club practice down the street. I wear my swim snorkel and most people stay clear. I'm in my own little happy Deb world. I do have a running conversation with my son entitled "what gross things do you see at the gym today?" I won because I got to watch a woman cut out her weave all over the countertop while hands free yelling at her man for cheating. What fun!

Seniors are wise and experienced people in general.
We should follow their example and swim more!
Me-who is amongst those that has had her thighs RAVAGED by WLS (that is where all my excess skin is). I dont care when I am in the water (if one is looking at my thighs underwater, with goggles, one clearly has ISSUES) but I DO wear those semi opague lighweight pool/patio/deck pants to and from the pool...
Someday, I will have my debt paid down and then it will be a thigh job for me!!!
