Revision to RNY scheduled Dec. 14th... OMG..... Pics Inside...
Hey everyone,
I'm a little nervous but excited at the same time. I'm scheduled for revision from the Sleeve to RNY December 14th. I did ok with the Sleeve but I'm nowhere near where I need to be. Also, I started having some heartburn about 2 weeks ago and from my understanding the bypass would help.
Has anyone revised from Sleeve to RNY? What are your thoughts? Weight loss? Good/Bad? I would love to hear your experience!
Oh, the pic on the right is my highest weight of 398 and the current at around 315.

You can really see a difference in the two pics. Congrats on that weight loss!
I'm not a revision, but my sister has the sleeve. Like you, she never really got where she wanted to be. She is not considering revising though. How long did you have your sleeve? Did you have and co-morbidities? Did getting the sleeve correct them?
Heartburn is less likely with bypass, though many are put on heartburn meds right after surgery though. (I wasn't).

I had the DS switch December 5 2012.and have lost 203 lbs.when you get the roux en Y you will get the results you want. Iv'e met people who have upgraded from the sleeve to the ds, but never to the roux en y.Great news though.Ive seen great results from people in my support group that have had the a Roux En Y.Good luck.
