What's on Your (photo) Friday Menu, RNYers?
That has been one of the most unexpected things for me post-op. I didn't realize how much I LOVE wearing heels OR that it was my weight that was making them hurt so much. Ok, to be fair, one or two of the fancier heels I've bought still don't feel awesome after a few hours but... most days I wear heels to work and they feel fine. They definitely make me feel tall and confident and in charge!

Nordstrom Rack! Love! Sitting here at a conference. Ate an insipid dinner last night of a chicken breast with some kind of congealed tasteless sauce on it at an awards dinner. No pics though.... Shame because my dress was rock in' breakfast this AM at hotel restaurant sent me for a long visit to the throne about an hour later. So it may just be prem
ier protein the rest of the day. Driving home 4 hrs tonight and then off to JFK in AM and onto Chicago for a week with my son and fam.
B: ½ spinach omelette rye toast

Hi everyone! I have been terrible about posting on this thread lately, but by the time I get a few minutes to sit down and get it done, it is late and the thread is dead. Today, all of my morning meetings are on the phone, so I am multi-tasking. Always a dicey situation.
I still cannot figure out how to post a picture after the upgrade. I can't do my old cut and paste routine, and inserting a picture does not seem to be working for me. I know some of you have figured it out. Share your secrets!
I have a quiet weekend ahead of me, and I am really looking forward to it. Last weekend was a total loss. I had an infusion on Thursday. It was to build bone density, because the drug I am on post-breast cancer can cause bone loss. The infusion also improves my chances for no reoccurance a couple of percentage points. Anyway, I woke up in the middle of the night on Friday in the worst pain I have ever experienced. I couldn't move and could hardly breathe. I spoke to my oncologist first thing in the morning and he prescribed pain pills to get me though. It lasted for 4 days, and I feel great now, but what a nightmare that was. I have to have 5 more of these over the next 3 years, but at least I will be prepared the next time.
My menu is totally up in the air this evening because I don't know what I am doing. Eat in (must go shopping) or out? I do have some hot and sour soup in the fridge, so maybe I'll add some prawns to that. I think I just talked myself into that!
Time Since Surgery: 11 months
B: Zenner Chicken Sausage Link
S: Light and Fit Greek Yogurt - Chocolate Raspberry with PB2
L: Chicken Thigh and peas
D: Hot and Sour Soup with prawns
Totals: Calories 634, Protein 45, Carbs 48, Fat 14
I am low on calories and protein, so I will need to add a couple of protein forward snacks in at some point today.
Hope everyone has a great day and a wonderful weekend!

The way I've been posting pictures since the upgrade is neither easier or harder than before.
If you already have the picture online somewhere (like Facebook), just right click and select Copy Image URL. Then when you're in your post, click the little image insert button and paste the URL into source box.
If you don't have the image online, click the Upload a Photo button up in the upper right under your username. Upload the image and then click onto your profile so you can see the image. Once you're there, do the same thing as above - copy the image url, etc.
Maybe this helps?

Good (late) morning! I had to go for a blood test this morning, so I left really early hoping to be the first one at the lab to avoid being too late for work. Well, I was the first one, since I got there before 8 and the lab doesn't open until 9!!! Needless to say, I was VERY late for work, so it threw my whole day off. I'm running the Los Angeles Rock n Roll half marathon on Sunday so technically, I'm carb loading (on my doctor's orders) and eating extra calories today (again on my doctor's orders). But my blood test was a fasting test and I didn't get breakfast until 10, so I'm already behind. Here's my plan for the day
B: Overnight oats with the much coveted caramel apple pie yogurt!
S: Kind bar
L: Pesto chicken and somersaults
S: More Yogurt and peanut butter
D: out with a friend who told me she's craving sweet potato fries, so Im sure dinner will include those
S:???
Don't have totals, but I'm sure it's light for where I need to be. Will have to make adjustments along the way.
