What's on your Monday menu RNYers?
Sorry two of your kiddos are not well. re: the diaper rash-- Triple Paste ointment was the only thing that ever cleared up my son's when he got them.
And re: workouts- I've been alternating different types of workouts. Last night I tried floor exercises. Ever since having kids I can't take any sort of pressure on my back where the epidural was. It really hinders me from doing any kind of floor based/lay on your back exercise. Anyone else have this issue?

what a horrible weekend I had. I'm feeling very depressed today. I had a migrane on Saturday that tylenol wouldn't touch, so I ended up taking some of the liquid tylenol with codeine that they gave me after the surgery. Then on Sunday we had a birthday party for my neice who turned 9. I got her a how to crochet kit with lots of yarn and I sat with her for an hour helping her to learn. I promised her that I'd have her over one weekend and we could crocet together. It wasn't pretty, but she did well enough her first time that I think with practice she'll pick it up. I'm excited. but then, everything went down the tubes. My oldest niece is 13 and has been nothing but rude and disrespectful to me (and everyone around) for the last year. she hides in her room and just gives dirty looks if you try to talk to her. I had enough of her last night and snapped. I told her that one day she's going to give that look to someone and they were going to kick her ass. I called her a little ***** I had to leave because I was so furious with her I was afraid I was going to smack the crap out of her. I ended up texting my sis in law to apologize this morning for losing my cool, but I told her that I just can't be around my niece if she's acting this way. I will not abide being disrespected by a child. Thank God I had boys and that my oldest would never even think about being that rude. with my luck my youngest will turn into a holy terror, but honestly I think not. I believe it's all about setting boundries and sticking to them, and honestly my brother and sister in law have not been great in that department.
I picked up a store bought halloween costume this year, something like queen of hearts. It's a short dress, but I'll be wearing leggings with it because I'm not ready for ****ty costumes, lol! I'll be wearing it to work on Friday, so I'll be sure to get pics.
So, food wise I was incredibly good this weekend. It seems like I lose multiple pounds during the weekend that I don't when I'm working. It could be that I'm more active on the weekends, or that I don't eat nearly as much as I'm not sitting at a desk all day. Either way, I feel like it melts off over the weekend. I'm officially to 70lbs lost. I need 8 more pounds to reach my next goal. I weighed 213lbs when I started my job 9.5 years ago.
Food:
B: Light and Fit Greek Banana with Chocolate on Top. This should just honestly be a dessert, so yummy. coffee and cream
L: Left over gluten free meatloaf from Saturday, with some spaghetti squash.
D: Baked cod, a small roasted potato and steamed carrots
S: P3 ham, almonds and cheese, hunter sausage
Totals:
Cal 766 Protein 63 Carbs 42 Fat 38
I saw an article on my local news website this morning that said that processed meat (including bacon) causes cancer. The report is from the World Health Organization. It also says that red meat in general "may cause cancer". I guess I know how I'm going out. I can give up hot dogs, but forget about giving up beef and pork and I couldn't live without my bacon. No way.

Sorry about the run in with you niece.
I echo your love of red meat and pork. Plus, if history serves right, they'll change what they say about it in 5 years!

I think your niece deserved the smack down you gave her. Emotions after surgery can be all over the place. Sorry you had a migraine they are horrible. I have a bag of frozen peas in the freezer that I put on my head or the back of my neck when I get a headache.
I hope you feel better about what happened this weekend.
Actually, I don'tknow that things will get better. Sis currently being home schooled because they're was an incident at her old school and she can't go back there. But both her parents work full time and she spends most of her time at home, alone in her room on the Internet. I've discussed having her go to school by my house, but I live too far away, and now I can't keep my temper anymore, so it is best if she doesn't come out.
Thank God for therapy, I look forward to going on Wednesday.
Thanks for kicking things off. It's not even 11 and I've been to the doc (to follow up on the weird BP issue from last week which she is convinced was a fluke since it's back to normal and my labs look fine), grocery shopped, made a really poor choice at Dunkin' when I got coffee, got gas for $1.99 (thank Giant points!), packed lunch and dinner for later, and am now finally getting ready to go to work.
Tonight at the Township's Board of Commissioners meeting they will vote on whether to give my library $2.5 million towards our expansion and renovation project. Going into the meeting we are cautiously optimistic that we have the votes and they're solid - but there's going to be a lot of posturing and discussion before the vote is actually called, so it's going to be a long and stressful night I'm sure. Keep your fingers crossed for me. I've got a Quest bar, water, and knitting in my bag to help me through!
Time since surgery: 19 months
B: Chobani tube with my BP med before the doc, stop at DD for coffee which lead to a Boston Cream donut - WTF Anny?!
S: cottage cheese, which I'll need since a donut is NOTHING
L: zucchini noodle lasagna
S: turkey sticks and string cheese
D: TJ's turkey meatballs (so practically the same thing for lunch and dinner - oh well)
S: Quest Bar, trek mix, maybe another Chobani tube because they're 50 calories and I'm obsessed with eating them frozen
TOTALS: Calories 1236, Protein 86, Carbs 100 (stupid donut, seriously, WTF, Anny?!), Fat 58
V/W: started
E: just trying to get the steps in

Don't beat yourself up about the donut! It's one bad decision. The rest of your day looks great!! Redeem yourself, I know you can do it!
Good luck with the Board!! Libraries are SOOO IMPORTANT for a community! We use ours constantly and are so thankful to have such great facilities and staff to close to us. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you!!
