Anyone here do intense physical exercise or a contact sport?
hey there,
i had the RNY 8.5 months ago. I exercise a lot. I work out with a trainer 4/5 times a week for one hour. I run 4/5 miles 5 days a week and a long run on Sunday. 8 miles or more depending what i am training for. I did all this before weight loss of 100 pounds but now it is easy and fun. I go to a food support group and also 1 on 1 nutrient meeting. If just counting calories i am suppose to eat 1250 cals a day. but honestly it is really about protein for me. i try to eat 110 grams a day. i have tons of energy and feel amazing. i ran a half marathon last week and a 10 k today.
I did the surgery so i could continue to exercise. You can do this and will be amazed at how your body responses as you lose weight. i have cut my time from 14 min mile to a 9 min mile in 8.5 months.
RNY best thing i ever did for myself.
