What's On Your Monday Menu, RNYers?
So I was checking my little calendar that I write my weight in....I have only lost 2 pounds all month I know weight loss slows around 6 month, and I am within 36 lbs of my goal....but REALLY????!!!?!! ggrrrrr Stall? Body being an asshole??
I am not doing anything different....doing well with cals and keeping my carbs low. Walking (really fast pace) or doing a workout at least 4-5 times a week. Always get my water in...... ugh
It's not like I can talk to my surgeons office about this. They snickered at me when I said I wanted to get to a normal BMI for my goal. I passed their goal weight for me months ago. They think I should be happy with my weight now, and not worry about losing more. I AM SO HAPPY that I am so much healthier then before, but I REALLY want to get to my goal
End rant (sorry I ***** so much, dont have anyone else to really talk to about this who will understand)

Melissasue- You very well may be at a stall. Another thing to consider is that with your exercising, you may be building muscle, which of course weighs something.
You're doing great! * hugs *
Progress,

I've been in a stall for weeks, but I decided to call it a shrinking period instead. I have been shrinking like crazy. Stop focusing on the number on the scale, and keep doing what you are doing. We can do this regardless of what our surgeons say. I don't plan on going back to mine after the one year mark because mine has not been very helpful either. Surgeons are good at surgery and dietitians are good at advising diabetics. We are better off turning to successful WLS patients for advice.

I will go back to my surgeons office for my follow ups, I just take what they say with a grain of salt. The Nurse Practitioner is the one that scoffed at my goals. They had a really great Dietitan who left to go back to a diabeties clinic. I get to meet the new one at my next appointment, so hopefully he/she will be great!! Here's hoping!
I REALLY need to do measurements! I did them, either before surgery or right after....and then never again. What the heck is wrong with me!?? LOL Having a full time job, 4 kids, a part time side job, working out, every day life.....I feel like I have zero time...BLAH BLAH BLAH
I hope you like the new dietitian. Mine is ok.. not telling me anything groundbreaking-- and refers me often to resources I've already been recommended via boards like OH.
I take measurements, but write them on post it nots that I end up losing. Only measurement I have is what MFP tracks, wist, neck and hips.
For the last 5 months or so, I am pretty much averaging 1 lb a week. I just keep fighting the good fight because I WILL get to my completely arbitrary goal weight of 145. If this weight loss pattern keeps up, it'll be my Christmas present. LOL
