I did that to someone when I was very early out. She did not get offended but pulled out a picture of what she had looked like two years before.
At the time, I just thought that everyone who had had weight loss surgery would be really skinny. I felt so terrible when I realized that many people did not get to their goal weight, but were still healthier after surgery.
It was a mistake that I hope to never make again.

Your post was so funny it brought tears to my eyes. You are so right that at two weeks out the anesthesia hasn't even worn off yet, so their brains are not fully functioning.

Good job, you're doing so great. People are idiots. Once, at my work that I had been at for 5+ years, a coworker asked if I was new. I felt hurt but I sure like the look on her face when I corrected her. She was fairly new and just looking to connect but it wasn't going to be with me.
