Surgery is today!

I'm currently in the waiting room waiting for my pager to go off. I'm so excited, I can't believe this day is finally here. It's been a long time to come. I'm so curious what will the pain be like afterwards? Will I be able to keep my liquids down? Will I walk enough to keep the gas pain to a minimal? Will I be able to go home tomorrow and not Wednesday? These are my thoughts.....

Best wishes on your surgery. My pain was managed really well, so I didn't have any problems getting up and walking around while I was in the hospital. I was taking 3 walks a day when I got home from the hospital. I had no problems keeping down my liquids. My worst pain came around the second and third weeks.
