My Butt Hurts!
Sorry for just blurting that out - but OMG!
I have a desk-job, and even though I get up several times an hour and stretch out or walk a bit, just 10 minutes in my office chair is killing my new boney-butt!!
I spent $60 on Amazon buying an Extra Thick Dual Layer Memory Foam Seat Cushion and an Aylio ****yx Orthopedic Comfort Foam Seat Cushion. I tried them both. Didn't help.
Anyone else lose all the 'extra padding' and having a painful time sitting? If so, did it get better over time? Any suggestions?
I feel your pain. I can no longer sit for any length of time because my butt hurts. I just got a sit/stand desk and I love it. I find that I spend much more time with my desk in the standing position than in the sitting. I'm also a lot more active moving around my office, not to mention all of the desk dancing I do. It is a bony butt saver!

I absolutely have this problem! The only way I've found to keep my butt from hurting is to curl one leg under me and sit on it, but now my hips are starting to hurt, so I guess that's not a very good fix.
Sitting cross-legged works best for me. Airplane seats are the worst, so hard. I love when someone is not in the middle seat because I can raise the arm rest & sit cross-legged.

It mostly goes away, but it takes a while. It might have been the end of year two when sitting was more normal for me.

For the most part it has gone away for me... I think over time somehow you adjust how you sit....

I don't think it's a lack of padding. When it hurt the most, I still had more than enough padding. But It seems like the difference is, at our biggest, the padding is firm. After losing a bunch, the padding is floppy. It's the squishy padding that makes it hurt. After being at a stable weight, things redistribute and firm up some, and it hurts less. At least, that's my take on it.
