What's on Your Wednesday Menu, RNYers?
Happy Hump Day everyone! It's dreary and wet here in the Cuse, but I don't care because I'm outta here in like 3 hours. I'm wearing easy on/off clothes and shoes for shopping purposes and I'm ready to go. LOL
Kristen's PSA for the day: If you're trying to find something in the dark and you tell yourself you don't need to turn the light on because you know where everything is, don't believe you. You are a lying liar who lies. LOL I went out onto the deck last night to retrieve a forgotten dog leash and proceeded to trip over the chaise lounge, smack my thigh against the table and land on my wrist. I feel like someone beat me up; the whole left side of my body is sore. LOL
Menu is abbreviated due to my upcoming mall excursion, but here's what I got:
B: coffee and a Pumpkin Harvest Crisp Chobani Flip
S: 1 oz. beef jerky. Hey, I don't know if you guys are Dollar Tree shoppers like me, but they've had the Jack Links Peppered beef jerky at my local stores. The big 3.25 oz. bags. For a dollar. I bought like 20. LOL
L: the great unknown in my day
D: turkey taco meat with 1 oz. cheddar and some grape tomatoes and one hard shell. Mmmm...tacos.
TOTALS (w/o lunch): Cals: 658 Protein: 57 Carbs: 43 Fat: 22
Have a great day all!

Yikes- I hope you feel better soon! *hugs* I just want to echo Kristen's PSA for the day-
Always use a light at night and be aware of where you are moving.
Two nights ago I got up to use the bathroom around 3:00 am. I use the towel rod as a guide (not a support) when moving in the bathroom at night.
Well, somehow it had fallen onto the floor, so when my hand didn't feel it and then my right foot landed on all the towels, I took a major tumble into the tub. Managed to duck and roll so I didn't hit my head, but all the force hit my back. Namely, the area below my right shoulder blade slammed on top of the faucet. My DH wasn't much help. "It doesn't look that bad!" *rolls eyes*
I've coerced him to tape it up with neosporin. Seeing my vascular doc on Monday to check it out, but until then, no swimming for me.
Ordered some Tegaderm patches, but until then... nope. My friend C. did say that while she admired my dedication, there is a point where it becomes ill-advised. LOL
2 months, 10 days since surgery
